SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 24, 2005-- Greenland Corporation (OTCBB:GRLC) announced that it has signed a contract with the Fort Wayne Komets, a member of the United Hockey League. The Fort Wayne Komets are one of fourteen teams in the United Hockey League, located in seven states throughout the Midwest. Each team in the league plays an 80 game schedule with 40 games at home. The sport of hockey has a long history in Fort Wayne, beginning in 1952 in the International Hockey League. In 1990, the then current owners moved the team to Albany, New York, but the Franke family, the present owners, immediately purchased an IHL franchise, moved that team to Fort Wayne and kept the name Komets. The Komets remained part of the IHL for nine seasons and then joined the United Hockey League. In the 2002-2003 seasons, the Komets captured the UHL Colonial Cup. "We are pleased that Michael Franke, CEO of the Komets, has chosen to work with Greenland," stated Thomas Beener, CEO of Greenland. "The Komets have approximately 30 employees and we are hopeful that our performance with the Komets will be the beginning of an expanded relationship with the other members of the UHL to use Greenland's services."
