GlobeTel Communications and VPN de Mexico Agree to Form Joint Venture to Build and Operate Wireless Broadband Networks Throughout Mexico FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. and MEXICO CITY, Feb. 21, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- GlobeTel Communications Corp. (Pink Sheets:GTEM) and VPN de Mexico S.A de C.V. today announced that they have signed an agreement pursuant to which they will form a joint venture, to be 51% owned by VPN and 49% owned by GlobeTel, to build and operate wireless broadband networks throughout Mexico based on GlobeTel's proprietary HotZone(tm) technology.
The joint venture agreement follows the successful testing and startup of operations of an initial broadband wireless network in Pachuca, State of Hidalgo, Mexico. The construction of the Pachuca network commenced in mid-September 2006 and began serving wireless broadband customers last October.

(Pink Sheets:GTEM) announced that the testing schedule for its Sanswire 2A Technology Demonstrator Stratellite(tm) calls for additional open-air tethered testing on Sunday, March 4, pending favorable weather conditions.
In addition to once again evaluating balance and buoyancy results, critical components of the airship that will be examined specifically include the avionics control box, which controls the fins, rudders and elevators; the motors and propellers; and the systems management computer.
Previously, the 2A Technology Demonstrator was floated in order to demonstrate the air to ground wireless broadband capabilities, via the proprietary HotZone technology. Invited guests tested the system by using a DECT standard cordless telephone to place calls that were routed through GlobeTel's StrateVoIP voice over IP platform.
"Our goals on Sunday will be to test the movement of components controlled by avionics, the spinning of propellers and communication with the systems management computer," stated Doug Murch, Sanswire President. GTEM seems like a great company with some really cool products and services. I especially like the Stratellite side of the business ... if this is successful, then it can be one of the next big things in communication !!! good pick IMM ... i wish i had got into it earlier but at that time i had no idea about GTEM
