No different than if that was Keith Olberman at a liberal convention. Both full of hot air. The worst, is having Ann Coulter around.
I just need to register with the independent party, went to the website on a google search and found a very poorly put together site. Didnt really come off as something very professional. Any suggestions on where to look for more info on that?

the difference is that Keith Olberman doesn't represent himself as the leader of the "liberal movement" Rush does...
CPAC is where he was speaking,
The American Conservative Union and CPAC would like to express our deepest gratitude to all of the speakers, sponsors, contributors and volunteers who helped make this 36th Conservative Political Action Conference our biggest success to date! We look forward to seeing you at the 37th annual CPAC!
is there some sort of liberal organisation like CPAC?
i don't watch olberman, and don't normally listen to Rush, but CNN gave him the full time and i just happened to catch it from the beginning...
and it was all about nothing except hate, and hate is not selling well these days...
sad really. he said stuff like "conservatism" is unwavering and doesn't change. it's been the same since the Founders... i don't think he knows any real history...
here's Rush attacking Newt:
he's saying don't talk "Policy"..
he syas it's all philosophy...
well, stuff like this is going to desroy the GOP see it here,
he went on for the whole time like this... making fun of everybody but himself...
he says he is apoplectic? that means you are having a stroke... i'm not sure what he thinks it means, but i doubt he was really trying to tell people he's stroking out...
that's usually associated with cognitive dysfunction...

In response to the Walter Zadan's Feb. 14 letter, "Pity the Limbaugh fan": People from the left seem to have a difficult time understanding that Rush Limbaugh is the most reliable source of news for conservatives on a national basis. I don't believe you could consider seriously that The New York Times, The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, NPR, etc., exist to get out the conservative side of any issue. Do you really think Keith Olberman is concerned with the opposing point of view? And now that the Fairness Doctrine Act is lurking in the wings, I suppose Zadan and his cronies will be campaigning vociferously to have it re-enacted to be assured that the last vestige of free speech is removed from the American scene, thus removing Limbaugh from further discussion of conservative points of view.
As a conservative American, I, too, have a right to listen to whomever I wish on the radio. If I believe wholeheartedly that President Barack Obama is leading our country on a path of destruction, then it's still my right to say so without being pilloried. Obviously, the object of all progressive liberals is to shut down any opposing views. Well, we aren't a socialist country — at least, not completely.

I haven't heard Rush's speech yet. However, I went to a party tonight and everyone at the party was talking about how great his speech was. I'm anxious to get a copy.

It's like a teenage peer group thing, Mag. They hang together to preach their religion to to one another and then they can tell themselves it's all over town, what's popular, the in thing, smart.....

You guys wouldn't understand. Almost everyone there was an entrepreneur. There was talk of the economy, business, and what a disaster Obama is bringing on the people of this country. Not a single socialist at the party!

"when he wasn't bragging about how famous he is? he was lying.
He was lying then too. Notoriety ain't fame. Hell, Charles Manson, Timothy McVeigh, and Lee Oswald are notorious. Babe Ruth and Steven Hawking are famous.
(Or maybe, in truth, he really isn't bright enough to know the difference?)

I watched some of it last night and he was less coherent than usual. It did occur to me while watching that Rush should run for office in 2012. Realistically he is about the only guy on the so-called right that has more charisma than a dried tomato.

Thank you Glass for posting the link to Rush's speech. I thought it was FANTASTIC. If you want to know what conservatives are - THAT'S IT!

funny, i heard the speech and i didn't hear anything descriptive, all i heard was hate.
if you say Rush is conservative? i think you should look at his life story very carefully.
he got out of the Nam for a boil on his butt.
he's been married several times, no kids (legit ones anyway)...
he failed out of college (he says he didn't go in the speech, but that's not true)
he makes 100 million a year talking about how screwed up everybody and everything else is, except himself of course, he's perfect and a genius... anybody who tells other people to trust them should not be trusted.. ...
he cut deal to get out of drug charges and had to be helped by the ACLU to defend himself...
if that's conservatism? then we don't need it...
quite frankly he's a hemmorhoid. i can think of no better analogy.
he doesn't even understand basic history, or he just lies about it. pick one or the other, can't have it both ways. he claims the Founders did not beleive in the separaton of Church and State over and over and over again...
Jefferson wrote, “Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should ‘make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,’ thus building a wall of separation between Church & State.
“Adhering to this expression of the supreme will of the nation in behalf of the rights of conscience,” Jefferson continued, “I shall see with sincere satisfaction the progress of those sentiments which tend to restore to man all his natural rights, convinced he has no natural right in opposition to his social duties.”
Fact is Thomas Jefferson most certainly did beleive in a separation of Church and state, and so did most of the rest of the Founders.
does Limbaugh even go to Church? and if so which one...

i told my wife the same thing, i actually WANT him to run seriously...
it would prove how little support he really has with numbers that even he could not ignore.
after that? the GOP could then begin to develop a platform that takes reality into consideration.

PM, see if you can find me a picture of Limbugerr doing anything other than posing with a cigar or a microphone..
just one showing him with a shotgun or a fishing rod, or in cammo or anything....
something besides talk... i admit i haven't tried very hard, cuz i don't care that much...
but i doubt there's any there, cuz rush's hobby appears to be going to brothels in the Dominican Republic where the sex trade is mostly about prepubescent girls.
long before he was caught coming back from there, this report is from '96...
Sources in the Dominican Republic state that their country has the fourth highest number in the world of women working overseas in the sex trade, after Thailand, Brazil and the Philippines. The number of Dominican sex workers currently abroad is estimated to be more than 50,000 women.

Girls?
What evidence do you have for that?

i've suspected for quite awhile now that you are really a flaming liberal on a mission to reveal just how much of a failure "conservatism" is now...

Yeah, and then there is the fact that just a bit of looking by the press into those trips to the Dominican Republic and into the college records he claims he never had and so on might cause a wee bit of a concern.
