Don't forget to stop by Starbucks and pick up your free large cup of coffee. Just tell em "I voted!"

Then go by Krispy Kreme for your free star shaped doughnut with sprnkles. Then after that, swing by Ben & Jerry's for a free cup of ice cream. As BF said, just mention that you voted [Smile]

The only time I was ever in a Starbucks, when they tried to hit me for a $3.50 cup of normal black coffee, I turned and walked out. (I got a cup in a place across the street for 50 cents.) That was a number of years back and I won't be doing business with Starbucks in another number of years.

it's like their cups are fashion accessories or something...

It is a fashion thing but not just the cups, a place to hang around.

They have taken some hits the last few years but i sure would love to have a piece of the action at our local retail store. They are always busy, lines going out the door many times.

Little pricey but that seems to make their coffee taste better to some.

I will say their manufacturing(processing) plant use to being pretty fair to employees from what i saw. I did some temporary work there setting a roaster up and appeared to be one of the very few companies that i have worked for that seemed to look out for their employees, although at the time the money was really flowing in. I had the option to stay but they had gotten to big for my taste.

Any one check out the Vegas odds on the election, last night Obama was a heavy favorite to win.

John McCain 3-1

Barack Obama 1-5

so if you have $5 to bet and you bet on mccain and he wins you get back a total of $20, if you bet on Obama and he wins you get back $6...

thus, Obama is a massive favortie....

In the past, I couldn't vote Gore, couldn't vote Kerry.
Had to leave the Nader button alone this time...
Today, I was caught between Barack and a hard place... went with Obama. Hope he's not the antichrist.

...Him either.

But Gore was too dull, and Kerry was too lame.

I couldn't vote for any of them.

...But if it would of been down to Shrillery and MCsame, I'd been hitting that Nader button like NADER,NADER,NADER!

Prop 8 battle still goes on here even after the election.

There are supporters and protestors on both sides on the coast highway in my area.

Every time a car honks which is about every minute it sounds like a football game, both sides cheering and clapping.
