I never said she ever got to the point of burning books or actually censoring books! She clearly tried, but was rebuffed by the librarian, whom, as a result, she fired.
Actually, in that post, I never spoke of what she did or didn't do after becoming mayer. I spoke to how she managed to get elected as mayer, in a tiny town full of republicans eager to support extreme republican political ideas, tactics, and methods.
You are indeed correct, " She never got to the point of actually censoring or burning books" and "No books were removed from the shelves."
I never said or implied otherwise.
It does seems clear that, had it not been for a highly principled librarian, Palin certainly would have gotten away with using the influence and power of her office to censor books.
Then there is the so called "troupergate. What else is she willing to coerce via threat to the livelyhood of those she holds power over?
There absolutely is a factual concern here and one that shouldn't be dismissed with a "Sorry but it isn't factual", which is supported by a couple of things that, though true, don't address or speak to the statement that was made.
Palin is, in my opinion, in our democratic system that is subject to the rule of law, a dangerous person.

John McCain is the candidate with the strongest record of cutting spending. Sarah Palin is the candidate who as governor has an established recored of state budget surpluses. they are both strong reformers. Both have gone against their own party.
Has Obama gone against his own party? Nope.
This is what I am afraid of. Barack Obama has voted 96% of the time with his Democratic congressional cohorts, a typical DEMOCRATIC vote to be either more spending or raising taxes.
If he gets elected then we will have a liberal left wing president, a liberal left wing big spending congress, and a democratic executive and legislative branch.....THAT WOULD OFFER NO PROTECTION TO THE TAXPAYER.

According to several sources in her home town, the money required for her to run for both mayor and governor was paid by that organization.

No, I did not make up that claim. I don't have the exact quote anymore or a link to it, but it was a claim voiced by a number of of the residents of Palin's home town and posted several places about the net withing days after McCain picked her, to illustrate how irresponsible McCain is in such important decisions.
You can hunt for it if you want. I ain't a gonna bother, since it isn't something that hasn't been noted here before and in other place many many many times. If you are too lazy to hunt them up, then spend your time hunting and providing reliable proof it isn't so (links to Fat Rush, the Doper, Ann, Rat faced, Coulter, That Looks Like a Boy, Sean Hannity, or Fox News and their like are neither credible nor reliable!
There is nothing false about pointing to the many many incidents of radical and subversive behavior (in and out of office) that Sarah Palin has participated in through her career (or the lies), particularly as there seems to be no efforts on her part to do much but radical and subversive things (or learn to tell the truth).
