Let's tell the truth here. The McCain campaign has made a huge mistake by keeping Palin away from the media. They should be getting her out there as much as possible, but keep her away from the socialist drive-by media, much like Obama avoiding Fox news.
Palin's strength is that she is NOT a smooth talking Washington dope, and that she is a plain spoken, normal person (not like the California socialist left, but like normal midwestern people). Let that out and the election will be a landslide for McCain/Palin, even though many conservatives will have to hold their nose to vote for any ticket with McCain on it. People want to see Palin and hear her speak. She is the one person who can energize the conservative base.

she has now become a tool, nothing more than a walking,talking fixture who has been taught to parrot McCain..very robotic in her responses.sad. Biden showed so much more intellegence,candor,personality,experience,knowledge,and all around what is needed in a V.P. or President. I would have zero confidence in the mccain-palin show. they are a joke. set the two tickets side-by-side and the choice is blatantly clear. I know that every Repub can see that, but the party-liners wont admit it. and thats what kills this country.

When I (and 90% of other Americans) turn on the Presidential Debates, it is primarily to discover how the various candidates will perform when they are faced with questions without knowing beforehand what those questions will be. That is, I expect and intend to see a partial simulation of the situation they would face in office...how they might function in a real situation rather than the planned and carefully plotted but artificial ones they present in campaign sponsered events.
I assert that in agreeing to participate in the debates, the candidates have tacitly agreed to play by the rules and answer the stated questions AND THAT, if in the actual fact, they refused or failed to attempt to answer the questions stated, they have not only failed the assignment, but bluntly told the public to "kiss off" ....... and that is a solid indication of how they would perform in office if elected.
Sarah Palin has told us to "kiss off" and I know how to interpret her disrespect for us.
Or perhaps she ignored the questions because she is ignorant, an equally scary condition in one that would present themselves for the office of President of the United States.

if you watch past videos of her from years ago, she doesnt have that accent..also, why does she wear those silly glasses?..IF she really needs them, she would wear contacts, BUT, they arent real, they are only glass,,,another indicator of her dishonesty.

NO! SHE DID NOT ANSWER THE QUESTIONS AND SHE DID NOT DO WHAT EVERY OTHER POLITICIAN DOES.
She agreed to answer the questions asked and not doing so points out what a dishonest or what an incompetent candidate she is.
However, I grant you that that is the standard for republican politicians and has been for 40 years and more. It is exactly what dubya did after discovering he was a looser in any sort of actual attempt to debate. He like Palin, swallowed, then spit up, the republican standard battle tactic:
if you can't dazzle them with brilliance, then baffle them with bull ****!!!!!
And flavor all of it with lies, but add enough argot to argue that it was just "natural" and anti-Washington and "what we want".
Force an argument to exists over that rather than honor or respect for the people or truth or substance, so as to dodge the fact that you either refused to answer the questions you had said you would or were unable to answer. Proclaim your performance to be protecting patriotism (the egocentric right-wing republican Party first base loves that).
Remember, the republican party faithful don't care that you are a doo-doo head, only that you remember that, in the long run, for republicans, it's Party before Country every time!

This is a debate where you are suppose to answer all the questions to the best of your knowledge... the FACT that she answered only some and not the others just shows she has very limited Knowledge and if McCain should die in office and she become Prez we would be far off worst then with Dubya... say what you want about Dubya but the dumbazz at least tries to answer questions and from time to time sounds like he knows what he is talking about... Palin is just a total blank mind...

Oh wait...natural gas requires drilling in the country. Anyone familiar with GAZPROM? It is the largest gas company in the world. From Russia with love! We dont need to import this anymore.

There is nothing in the Constitution allowing Congress to enact law that promotes religious belief, whatever religion that may be.
The anti-abortion efforts of the republican party is an attempt to install religion, thereby undermining the Bill of Rights and eventually the Constitution as a whole, not protecting children.
I don't like abortion, most people don't, but the constitution says it cannot be a matter of law! I can, decide to reject it. I don't need a law or you to tell me how to think.
If republicans gave a damn about children, they wouldn't be so all fired eager to prevent them from having medical care and education (not to mention birth control and responsible access to sex education).
So get off the asinine claims of caring about kids and act responsible and patriotic instead of that Party before Country sh-t.

If the child is extracted to the point where the navel is outside the mother (or the entire head in the case of a breach birth) before being killed, it is considered a partial birth abortion. Nearly all partial birth abortions were practiced in the 5th to 6th month of development. It is estimated that less than 1.5% of yearly abortions in the US happen beyond 20 weeks (5 months).
Partial birth abortions ARE NOT the same as Late Term Abortions (abortions in the final trimester).
Now lets be honest here. How many of you thought that this ban was protecting children that were 9 months along and halfway born? ...NOPE.
Oh...And in case you want to know about late term abortions....It is estimated that less than .08% of yearly abortions in the US happen beyond 24 weeks (6 months).
