The Bill of No Rights

We, the sensible of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid any more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt-ridden delusional, and other liberal, commie, pinko bedwetters.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that a whole lot of people were confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim that they require a Bill of No Rights.

ARTICLE I
You do not have the right to a new car, big-screen color TV or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.

ARTICLE II
You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone -- not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc., but the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.

ARTICLE III
You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful, do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all of your relatives independently wealthy.

ARTICLE IV
You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes.

ARTICLE V
You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in public health care.

ARTICLE VI
You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and kill you.

ARTICLE VII
You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big-screen color TV or a life of leisure.

ARTICLE VIII
You do not have the right to demand that our children risk their lives in foreign wars to soothe your aching conscience. We hate oppressive governments and won't lift a finger to stop you from going to fight if you'd like. However, we do not enjoy parenting the entire world and do not want to spend so much of our time battling each and every little tyrant with a military uniform and a funny hat.

ARTICLE IX
You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have one, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities in education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful.

ARTICLE X
You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to pursue happiness -- which, by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an overabundance of idiotic laws created by those around you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.

Can I get a 'Hell, Yeah!'...

You really should move to a little island isolated from everyone except perhaps PM. lol The world according to SF, you should only have the rights that benefit or please him and not anyone else.

Profile of the Sociopath

some of the common features of descriptions of the behavior of sociopaths.

* Glibness and Superficial Charm

* Manipulative and Conning
They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors as permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They may dominate and humiliate their victims.

* Grandiose Sense of Self
Feels entitled to certain things as "their right."

* Pathological Lying
Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis. Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities. Extremely convincing and even able to pass lie detector tests.

* Lack of Remorse, Shame or Guilt
A deep seated rage, which is split off and repressed, is at their core. Does not see others around them as people, but only as targets and opportunities. Instead of friends, they have victims and accomplices who end up as victims. The end always justifies the means and they let nothing stand in their way.

* Shallow Emotions
When they show what seems to be warmth, joy, love and compassion it is more feigned than experienced and serves an ulterior motive. Outraged by insignificant matters, yet remaining unmoved and cold by what would upset a normal person. Since they are not genuine, neither are their promises.

* Incapacity for Love

* Need for Stimulation
Living on the edge. Verbal outbursts and physical punishments are normal. Promiscuity and gambling are common.

* Callousness/Lack of Empathy
Unable to empathize with the pain of their victims, having only contempt for others' feelings of distress and readily taking advantage of them.

* Poor Behavioral Controls/Impulsive Nature
Rage and abuse, alternating with small expressions of love and approval produce an addictive cycle for abuser and abused, as well as creating hopelessness in the victim. Believe they are all-powerful, all-knowing, entitled to every wish, no sense of personal boundaries, no concern for their impact on others.

* Early Behavior Problems/Juvenile Delinquency
Usually has a history of behavioral and academic difficulties, yet "gets by" by conning others. Problems in making and keeping friends; aberrant behaviors such as cruelty to people or animals, stealing, etc.

* Irresponsibility/Unreliability
Not concerned about wrecking others' lives and dreams. Oblivious or indifferent to the devastation they cause. Does not accept blame themselves, but blames others, even for acts they obviously committed.

* Promiscuous Sexual Behavior/Infidelity
Promiscuity, child sexual abuse, rape and sexual acting out of all sorts.

* Lack of Realistic Life Plan/Parasitic Lifestyle
Tends to move around a lot or makes all encompassing promises for the future, poor work ethic but exploits others effectively.

* Criminal or Entrepreneurial Versatility
Changes their image as needed to avoid prosecution. Changes life story readily.

You might be out of phase with reality on this one Bond.
Seems to me it is government and all those who blindly support it that are the ones mocking the bill of rights.
Seems to me the bit posted by SF is merely a communal for all of us who are desperate to get government out of our lives.

Google Lawyers Look to Hide YouTube-User Identification
By Jessica E. Vascellaro and Merissa Marr

Lawyers for Google Inc. Thursday asked Viacom Inc. for permission to better hide information that might help personally identify YouTube users before Google complies with a judge's demand that it hand over YouTube "user logs" -- the records of what videos people watch -- to Viacom.

The letter comes a day after a federal judge in New York ordered Google to give Viacom a database that links users of YouTube -- a Google unit -- with every video clip they have ever watched through the service in conjunction with Viacom's $1 billion copyright suit against Google.

A Viacom spokesman said ...

Ideally, one would strive for a balance of the two Mach. Productive society needs a certain amount of law and order in order to thrive, yet too much of it can bring society to a stand still because of over-regulation and government intervention.

You actually said it best and what i meant to say with the exception of "over regulation". What everyone seems to forget is that the Gov't tries it the peoples way of no regulation or little regulation but time and time again us humans prove that we can't handle things without regulation. History has shown this. And in reality any Regulation they impose on us in whatever area whether industry or otherwise is always REACTIVE.

Case in point was the laizze-faire attitude Reagan's reign had on big business and the massive Greed that im sure you remember was the result of it that ended the 80's with such famous cases like the Milken/Boesky case or the S&L collapse among other examples I'm sure you can give us.

so correct me if I'm wrong... so you want :

1. No regulation of business whatsoever... just rampant Greed that costs us in the long run when a industry collapses like the S&L industry, mortgage industry etc.

2. No environmental laws so when accidents like Exxon/Valdez etc. happen our environment gets destroyed

3. No stricter laws or tougher sentences for child predators of all kinds so they can roam freely more.

4. No gun laws whatsoever so anyone and everyone can own guns including mental cases and criminals more easily

5. NO DWI laws, speed laws, no narcotics laws so we can do as we please and kill people in the process whether intentional or not..

I can go on and on but i think you get the picture... we humans obviously cannot live in harmony without some law & order... I'm not saying the Gov't should take away our bill of rights freedoms but to say we need no gov't at all is ridiculous and anarchist... We already see how 3rd world countries are when their Gov't's are not stable... do you want the same here? ...

Nope.
What I want is an honest government.
I want few laws... not millions.
Simple laws like:
Don't kill people.
Don't steal things.
Don't rape people.

We do NOT need special laws for each and every variation of simple crimes.
I do not want hate crime laws.
I do not want special laws for child scrogging sickos.
What you and others fail to understand is these laws are entrapping us all to the point that we are all felons whether you admit it or not.
We do not need an all powerfull government.
We need a weak and feeble government so that people will actually HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES.
It is not the government's friggen job to pamper it's citizens.
It is not it's job to change the diapers of every friggen citizen within it's borders.
If you want that then go live in the U.K where you now can't wear a ball cap in a bar because the government monitors need to see everyone's face at all times.
Freedom is not free.
Freedom means that people MUST GROW THE F***** UP.

what you are living is a perfect world in yours and everyone else's minds but that is not reality whether you admit it or not. As much as we want to live in a UTOPIA the fact of the matter is we can't because humans have shown to be self-destructive and if the present day doesn't show that then I don't know what does. Nothing is as simple as you like it to be.

I am like everyone else, i hate authority. I hate law enforcement people (cops etc.), i hate religions etc., I hate bosses etc. and of course i hate governments so trust me anyone who knows me off the computer in my personal life knows that i hate any kind of authority but much like Dirty Harry who hated the system he was a realist in that till a better system came along he would work within the system. Humans are a funny species, always whining they want less authority but once they get less authority they start acting like children and self destruct causing more authority then before to happen. That is what happened in American history as well as other countries, again whether you like to admit it or not.

Since you want to take this thread a little more seriously than I did...

Bond, I would ask you and Mach and whoever else wants a bite at this to tell me which of these items SHOULDN'T be obvious points in our country.

Not which AREN'T...but which SHOULDN'T.

Make you points fine with me for the record I don't care to much for the vehicle that was used to make them.

that document was bought and paid for with the blood of millions through out our short history.

Do what you like I have said my say and that is all.

till a better system came along he would work within the system

i think we all know the system is broken tho.

a large part of the reason that we have the overbearing govt that we have today is that our economy collapsed on October 29, 1929.

there was little choice but to respond with a "social security" system...

they call it security for a reason. whether you beleive the market crashed BECAUSE the Rockefellers and the other "industrialists"
pulled their money from the market or they were just smart enough to get out before nature took it's course? it doesn't matter...

the Great depression came just 15 years (+or-) after the Fed Reserve was created.
it happened due to lack of regulation and the exersize of poor judgment on the part of tens of thousands of bankers, and stock brokers. It took down the ones that that had exersized good judgment along with the ones that didn't.

those that believe they are capable "taking care of themselves" just haven't been taken down by others (intentionally or unintentionally)before.

in the past 20 years? most of the safetys that were put into the system to keep that from happening again were removed. Clinton and Bush BOTH were involved in this...

they've removed "pesky regulations" to business while adding repressive regulations on individuals.

it's broken.

even tho this article is from the world socialists web-site? it doesn't mean they are wrong.
the opinions they expressed at the time were mirrored by many free-market economists too...

Clinton, Republicans agree to deregulation of US financial system
By Martin McLaughlin
1 November 1999

An agreement between the Clinton administration and congressional Republicans, reached during all-night negotiations which concluded in the early hours of October 22, sets the stage for passage of the most sweeping banking deregulation bill in American history, lifting virtually all restraints on the operation of the giant monopolies which dominate the financial system.

this has come to pass:

Threat to financial stability

The proposed deregulation will increase the degree of monopolization in finance and worsen the position of consumers in relation to creditors. Even more significant is its impact on the overall stability of US and world capitalism. The bill ties the banking system and the insurance industry even more directly to the volatile US stock market, virtually guaranteeing that any significant plunge on Wall Street will have an immediate and catastrophic impact throughout the US financial system.
The Glass-Steagall Act of 1933, which the deregulation bill would repeal, was not adopted to protect consumers, although one of its most celebrated provisions was the establishment of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, which guarantees bank deposits of up to $100,000. The law was enacted during the first 100 days of the Roosevelt administration to rescue a banking system which had collapsed, wiping out the life savings of millions of working people, and threatening to bring the profit system to a complete standstill.
In 1990 the Federal Reserve Board first permitted a bank (J.P. Morgan) to sell stock through a subsidiary, although stock market operations were limited to 10 percent of the company's total revenue. In 1996 this ceiling was lifted to 25 percent. Now it will be abolished.
A financial deregulation bill was passed in the early 1980s under the Reagan administration, lifting many restrictions on the activities of savings and loan associations, which had previously been limited primarily to the home-loan market. The result was an orgy of speculation, profiteering and outright plundering of assets, culminating in collapse and the biggest financial bailout in US history, costing the federal government more than $500 billion

This country is truly lost.
The spirit and wisdom that created it
has been forgotten.
Anytime someone says a disaster occurred because the government DIDN'T over-regulate it?

Done

There will be no revolution.
There will be no revolt against tyranny.

Cow eyed morons simply do what they are told.

comeon relentless. look at the facts.

i'm not FOR more laws. i'd be willing to be that i lead a more independent minded life than you.

facts are facts. if the Fed wasn't guaranteeing all of these bad mortgages right now? We'd be fighting for bread already.
the taxpayer will bail these guys out. they already took all our money, we just haven't seen the bill yet.

here's some good reading Relayentless:

"Society is produced by our wants, and government by wickedness; the former promotes our happiness positively by uniting our affections, the latter negatively by restraining our vices. The one encourages intercourse, the other creates distinctions. The first is a patron, the last a punisher. Society in every state is a blessing, but government even in its best state is but a necessary evil."

we traded the old boss for the new boss and every revolution does that. think outside that box...

The revolution that was hoped for was one of the people.
The revolt against this government would be a biproduct of that.

I can easily see that will never happen.
This species has a choice like no other on this planet.
A choice to be fruitful and uphold the noblest of actions. To be self reliant and to be strong individuals concerned for the whole.
Or to be guided by the intentions of a very few...
Guided not because of trust... but out of laziness.
And it does not matter to whom I talk...
The answer is always... laziness of character.
LOL, think outside the box?
Never been in the box.

de-regulation? free market economy? LOL..

since the "de-regualtion plans" have been installed? we've had crisis after crisis. and the NET effect of all the bailouts of these crises has been to simply add more debt to the Taxpayer...

Savings and Loans? $200 to $500 billion bailout and top executives in prison.

Enron (no more need be said)

Bear Sterns...

two separate govt "gift" in the form of tax rebates...
amounting to about 200 billion$... govt giveaways?

the system is broken. you are correct, and US consumers pay for it every time.

instead of asking how to tear the system down? how do you fix it after it's been torn down? the system doesn't need tearing down, it's doing that all by itself.
