actually, i think that may be what we need more than anything else.
i actually watched the '00 GOP primary debates. Bush kept saying the same thing over and over--

while he was saying that? nothing he said on any other issues made any sense.
Bush cannot speak, people said well, that's a speech impediment. the heck it is, the guy can't even construct a sentence in his mind.
Obamma is one of the best public speakers i have ever seen, he can go on (apparently) without a prompter for an hour, without repeating himself and without forgetting what he was saying two seconds ago... that would be change..
there is a valid question as to whether being a public speaker makes one qualified to be president, but i have no idea what criteria we are suppposed to use to decide who is qualified..
maybe we need a graded course for being a president so we can see test grades?
as for McCain, i don't care how healthy he is, or how good his intentions are? i beleive he's ready to start a war with Iran, which we cannot afford, either from a military preparedness position, or from a cost of oil position....
Iran will end up with Iraq no matter how long we stay. that was inevitable from the first days of shock and awe.
had we gone in without bombing the hell out of peoples lives? we might have made an ally. there is no way anybody will ally to US after what we did.
you can't use Germany and Japan as examples, cuz they started that war by attacking everyone else around them.

If he runs on that ticket of change there is no turning back aside from revoultion.
Looking at the plight of 47 million Americans with no health insurance trying to get medical help from a medilcal system that is on the verg of collapse because of all the coruption and greed that built it since Regan allowed the profit motive to run wild in it.
Job, a tax and trade system that was starting to be dismantled 25 years ago. We are just starting to see the hard effects of it now.
What will we do when we start to recover now? Where will the large blue collar work force be that goes back to work and makes the heavy industrail equipment,materials,and machinery necessary to do the job and bolster the nation? Well after seeing most of the countreies empty factories I don't think any of it will come from this country.
So you see I feel that weather any wants change or not if you say you are for change you better produce it or social events will force it at this point. And that will take place with cooperation from our states people or forced upon them by a fed up population.
What do you folks mean no change Bush promissed change and he damn sure deliverd it to us,economicaly,socially,and internationaly.
Ask the folks in New Orleans if they felt the change.

The parties is obvious. As for the cultures i dont think you need a president to change the hearts and minds of biggots and racially skewed systems that exist today. It should be done locally and start out with the youngins.
Up here in the Melting pot of NY its not that bad. Everybody hangs with everybody. Your neighbor could be black, white, asian, latino, middle eastern...etc.
I can see why people of the board would think both racism is strong or soft. You people down south need to get your acts together. I hear from friends and and family that moved down yonder that "the Klan" is still running strong to their suprise.

once again i have to point out that this country is divided along all kinds of lines. big city/rural lines are just one thing, and so was Bush back in '00...
