You really know how to even tick off posters that seem to like you and i am not talking about me. How do you go from fruit flies sex, budgeting projects and name calling, to try and insult people and some of their religious beliefs, have you again lost track of the discussion probably not the right word to use.
No bdgee you did not call me anymore names than you have of other people on this board. For a person that hates the republican party so much and states that they waste so much money on stupid projects it appears that your fruit fly sex project was funded during their reign in office, but that makes it okay since you are involved. As i said before many of these projects are a waste of taxpayers money, even though they might be important to the one's that do them. How important do you think this project is in the scheme of scientific discoveries and money that should be spent, I could ask one of our relatives who is one of the foremost nuclear scientists, no i think not. No upside he would not want that technology, or say the things he says to people in person. If you have anymore trouble understanding what name calling is maybe some one else can explain it better to you, if you would like i can post more of your quotes that reference it but it would probably be 100 pages long.

Well, for my part I was simply trying to inject a bit of humor into a somewhat ridiculous discussion, if you can call it that. I guess that's why the internet is such a wonderful thing, say whatever you want, be whoever you want to be, etc. What I don't understand though is how people can get so riled up on a chat board. Actually beyond riled up, it seems to border on hatred. Hell, this morning I was called a "goddamn moron" by someone, I thought it was hilarious and I know he's going to be back soon with some new Upside slams. I look forward to them.

I can see that you are so limited in intellectual scope that you are capable of believing that I started this thread out of interest in sex or in bugs, but let me assure you that you are 100% out of phase with reality, just as you are with your diatribes to nmake me the devil of your cause.
As you have made it more than clear, your ability to extrapolate from a premis to a greater scope is restricted and, indeed, mimniscule.
I have esentially no interest in fruitflies or their sexual practices. It isn't them or their habits or character that I was considering. You are indeed single minded, and I give you that. Of course, note that being single minded is the same as having a one track mind.
Now to address only one of what you want to call "name calling" you have cited my statement,

If you are so biased and simple minded as to construe that to be name calling, I offer two points:
1). Nothing therein refers to you specifically or to anyone, except by activities and character flaws, which means, if you feel offended, you (and not me) are acknowledging that you are either hateful, bogoted, gay bashing, an over the edge excessive christian, or some combination thereof.
2). If you do feel yourself to be the object of that inspecific statement, then I am bound to accept your assessment of your own character and that you do indeed need to read the statement carefully and think. It is up to you, not me, as it is you that is assigning character. Either way, I am not involved. It is you that assumes guilt.
Again, as I have pointed out before,
I will correct your misrepresentation by pointing out that I did not call you any name or attack you with insult, ever, anywhere. (A courtesy and respect you have not provided me.)
I ask again, with courtesy and respect, please stop your incessant crude hateful attacks.

I am sure some posters wonder why i have went on with bdgee the last few days. No i usually do not get involved in this type of thing . The major problem with what bdgee continually does is not related to discussion. I think most people think it is harmless, but it is not, read through these posts carefully on this thread and see what is there, this is only a chat board on the Internet which is a very powerful place. His comments are directed at individuals but centered around groups, it just seems to be getting worse and worse as time goes on. If someone on the board at allstocks wants me to be more specific please contact me.

Yep, you're right, Highway, a bananna and us have many of the same genes, as is also the case with sea urchins and earthworms.
And where they have the same genes as we do, a variation in that gene effects them in a way quite analgous to the way that same variation does us,
And the effect on behavior is quite similar too.
Locate the genes that cause boys to like girls and disturb them and you have completely altered the way that person views sex and gender.
