scary... you cannot bring peace when there isn't good moral on the soldiers' side. It's incidents like these that breed terrorism, it's a state of mind that you can't kill with a few weapons. I'm sure there's a lot of good work done so let's not put all soldiers over the same line, but it's these incidents that really screw things up

I never said, nor did I imply, that you raped anyone. I also resent your implication that I am somehow attacking the troops in general. That's just not the case.
However, military service isn't a license to murder, rape and/or torture.

It's also funny that you would single out SoCal. Your neck of the woods has more than its fair share of scum as well.
This war of terror is indeed becoming more like Vietnam each day and, like Vietnam, it can't be won. Like an egg dropped on the floor, Bush's Iraq debacle just can't be "fixed." Our Government's real motives were evil and, like the Vietnam War, history will not judge us to be victorious.
How many more have to die, be raped, burned, pillaged, blown up, etc. while the idiots in Washington figure this out?
The best way to help the Iraqis now is to show compassion. That we, as citizens, did not support this Iraq invasion; that we, as citizens, will not tolerate the actions of scum like these "soldiers."
We've finally taken the first step.

"The Media", as it is and as it has been since the early Carter Administration, is, primarilly, a collection of rightwinge leaches constantly searching for gossip rather than news, in order to pay its debt to the RNC for the favor of assumed "inside scoops" (and for invitations to various hoity-toity social gathering in D.C.).
What the far right is actually speaking of with its constant and insulting references to the "leftwing press" (and similar phrases) is any media effort to publish anything not origination or sanctioned by the fartherist right forces of the republican party, i.e., the American Fascist Party.
