Not sure if there are any Barry Zito fans on here, but I am now a Barry Zito fan. He is donating a $100 for every stike out he throws this year to wounded troops. I personally think it is awesome and commend him for his contributions. The second link is to a guys website about meeting Barry and Col Oliver North at Walter Reed Medical Center. Great article. 100 bucks? how bout a grand? seems a little more convincing that way. and you can damn well bet his agent or publicist told him to do it. im always suspicious when people let it be known for their "good will".

well it still helps out i don't care who's Idea it was. He seemed genuine (NC spelling, not sure if it is right) He seemed humbled, but i don't see how you couldn't have been. What ya think Ollie's motivation is behind it? I think he is just a hell of a man and a hell of a Marine that wants to help out best he can, but I am just a lowly enlisted Marine so what would I know?
