I do not know anything about a Canadian Diamond Mine, but that sounds funny as hell that any one would believe such a thing. Buy I do not think this web site is blocking peoples e-mail address if they chose to list it. Check my profile and see if mine comes up, I could be wrong. I used to be a poster on these boards and now I am not even a lurker. The CMKX board is riddled with bashers and conversation hijackers. If allstocks offered the ignore user option; I could visit without having to bother sifting through the outright lies and garbage I don't have the time or energy to answer.
I read where some thought people would only listen to people who agree with them. I have to say so what? But seriously, over time you come to a distinct impression if someone has something worth saying or not. There are 3 or 4 posters on that board that I prefer to not even read one word they write. Two are out and out bashers probably for pay. One of the remaining Two may have something worthwhile to say, but to sift thru the rest of what he writes to get to it isn't worth the time since it is rarely something I wouldn't get elsewhere.
I hope you do add the ignore feature here. RB has it and allstocks has become RB junior. IMO-Debi

I just got finished viewing about a dozen profiles and you appear to be right some home pages are listed like BB but most have nothing listed in either box, when I view my own I can see my stuff but that does not surprise me. On the other had I also viewed Pink Sheets history of CMKX and it appears this stock have been very low for a while with a few spikes here and there. If you were on any of those spikes during your buying phase than I feel sorry for you or any other investor that got hit by that. If I had purchased enough of that stock my self I would be tempted to take a good old road trip up there and have a few of those Canadians toss me some skunky beer and hand me a pick axe. Hell if they can not find any diamonds, I might be able to after enough brew-ha-ha. But on an up note when your sitting around in the bar and trying to impress the ladies you can always say you own stock In a Canadian Diamond Mine and you would not be telling a Lie...

never bought it, but i did think about it hard...esp when i thought i had inside info....
then Kevin Bailey fired a warning shot and i did more DD... i just started trading these OTCBB stock about a year ago..been a real eye-opener and a lot of fun... i have bought two pinks only...QBID and MLON

Not in favor of it. How hard is it to scroll right past the post you don't want to read? What's it take, 1 maybe 2 seconds? It's kind of like flipping past a channel you choose not to watch on your television. I enjoy reading all of the posts, even from those I disagree with. It just seems like it's a way to insure that you read nothing other than posts that support your own point of view. To me, that doesn't make sense, especially when it comes to investing. Don't you want to read both the pros and the cons of any particular stock?

Not really sure you can remedy this problem. I would say that you would problably find more lurkers willing to post, if there weren't all the name calling and personal attacks. Those without confidence may be sitting on some great DD but are hesitant to post.
By the time I can add any significant DD, the hard working posters that due it and do it well, already have...thank you.
It is a lot to sift through all the bull but I just look for the posters that contribute on BOTH SIDES and focus on their posts.
Good luck with this mods and thanks to all that post what's important and make this a great site.

I find it highly amazing that "adults" who are sure of themselves and know what they are doing, seem to be as indecisive as a five year old child choosing between cartoons are playing outside. How is it that you care what anyone posts and take it offensively? Because you live from a false sense of identity. Something to protect, something to do out of boredom. The biggest problem though is the fact that most people make these people bigger problems. If you have someone that comes in and says something you don't like and then post 20 messages about this person then you are making him/her who they are. If they are a paid basher they get paid by how many responses they get from there post. If they are just a jerk just in there to start a fight then they win too. Responding to these people make them who they are.

There is something that I would rather have instead of an ignore though. I probably wouldn't ignore anyway because I like to read opposing views even if it is bashing because most bashing is based on a stocks weakness.
I would like a required field where you must choose either.

And force this chose before you can send a post. Someone could lie but at least it lets you know where they come from. If they say they own but are bashing then they are either a moron for not selling or a basher. If they say they don't own then we can ask the question, why are you here then. Get lost.

I am for the ignore option. If you're not a complete moron, you won't be ignored.
The ignore button will not be to block opposing views, since the software will not be making determinations as to the content of the post, but rather the individual poster.
For instance, if I had the option to ignore, I would still see every QBID post with the exception of U4.

I don't know for sure but I would think it would be extremely hard for this type of forum to have an ignore. Allstocks knows more about the setup of this board but it looks to me like it would be difficult. Just the way the threads are arranged seems to make it impossible. I have written a lot of web sites in the past but never wrote a message board before so not sure on this. The way the other message boards are written (I like our format much better), you only see subject first and easier to ignore a member from that page. This site has the whole message within the thread which causes more technical difficulties in ignoring just the members in a ignore list. JMHO

But that is because you are a seasoned investor. Granted, a newbie looking for help might read an entire thread before making up his/her mind but once they've pulled the trigger, everyone with a negative opinion would be put on ignore. But I do believe if I was to walk into lets say my Brothers church in the middle of a sermon and expressed my full use of foul vocabulary, I could safely say that the majority of people in that room would forget about the above logic and want to kick my Lilly-white butt all over that holy ground. That may be an extreme example, so let me give a more suddal(sp) one. There are a few very educated people who frequently post on this site that are highly respected. There opinions can be golden to the majority of people who read them. But to some they may have a different view; you can actually be very offensive just by the use of a condescending tone, implied gesture or snide remark. I find anyone who is rude to be offensive personally. But I would never take away their right or freedom of expression, because we are the land of the free and the home of the brave, now play ball!!! But having the option to chose to block what you feel is an offensive comment may not be a bad idea as long as you are not stopping others from viewing the information that they may feel as relevant.... Dam soapbox, get that thing away from me, I already have a bruised hip form before.

One problem with the ignore feature is it can create confusion on the board. Example- everyone on the CMKX board ignores a basher, then a newbie comes along and starts replying to the basher looking for info. 1- the bashers post will be in the reply so the dedicated CMKXers will still end up reading it, 2- the messages that arent direct replies cause confusion, the dedicated CMKXers say to the newbie "we dont know what you're talking about newbie we all ignored him."
