my highest is 41%, I think a lot must have lost some ground today. I lost .05 and still gained 2% on a few. My 3% remaines the same though maintained a gain but no real headway. Hey gang! Just checked my portfolio today, my % standings haven't been updated but my holdings have. Looks like I'm still doing well. I don't play the the bonus bucks because I really don't have time, but if I did I would probably have more $$$$. GLTA

total return: 32%

Richby26, just hit the link posted a few posts above and the answers are there. It doesn't take but a few seconds.
Anders, good plan about the earnings. I'm a bit confused about how the contest works though. When we buy or sell is it always at the closing price or is it the current price when you put the order in? If the former then I guess you pick one that is reporting earnings either after hours or before hours the next day and buy before the close?

I went from 61% to 24% (i think alot around me just had a bad couple days - ooooops) on one pick but still can't break into the top 2% with this one. Market took a nice hit today and IMO some of the picks we've had so far are still good - just took a small reset. Looking at ETRS, CSCO, HK and INTC, PFE keeps poping up on me too. Another possible jumped at me... MTU. I've been playing off a 90 day average for the most part. Looking to gain on the recoveries. I went from top 16% to 18% mostly because of a drop in CMGI and Ford. Richby26, we've got to get you back in the top 1%. You can get the bonus bucks anytime before 9am. At least get them on days that you are able to get online. You know all the other leaders are.

After trading closes on the Friday of each of the first ten (10) weeks of the Contest, all trades are processed, all corrections (if any) are made, and all site maintenance is performed. The Participant with the highest percentage gain in his/her total portfolio value during such week will be declared the weekly winner for that week and will be entitled to receive a weekly prize, subject to confirmation of eligibility. In the event of a tie, the weekly winner will be determined using the following tiebreakers: First, the highest dollar increase in total portfolio value during such week; Second, the most CNBC Bucks received by answering trivia questions during such week; Third, the most trades made during such week. In the further event of a tie, the weekly prize will be awarded to the participant who registered earliest for the Contest.
***The Participant with the highest percentage gain in his/her total portfolio value during such week will be declared the weekly winner for that week and will be entitled to receive a weekly prize, subject to confirmation of eligibility.
this means that the one portfolio i had where i let TAO ride itself to down 42% where im sitting with 520k might actually make me money. Playin devils advocate i can keep losing money on that account easily seeing as how were only in week 4. Come week 8/9 say i have 50k lol, 15k from bonus bucks is 30% already id be up.
Just a thought, whatever it takes to win, i wouldnt be complaining if i won 10 grand!

Last week, I thought that I had a good plan since I am so good at buying right before stocks go down: I tried selling short. But of course the stock I picked to sell short was mentioned by Cramer the next day. Sigh.
