Jenna: We are sorry to lose you. You might what to invest in a CD or an IRA. I still believe there is great potential to make money in the penny stocks if you dollar-cost average and don't get to greedy. Good luck to you and your children!!!

Jenna...it's a different game down here...you don't invest..you play...but I think that you learned that the hard way...I do both penny and big board...

But in the short time that I have been playing the pennies...it does seem that the "fast gainers" are less and less..but the 25-50% gainers are still plenty...
You can't be greedy...

Jenna? will you start posting the stocks that you are going to "play" on the other boards?

There's still a place for you, Jenna.

Here: http://www.allstocks.com/stockmessageboard/ubb/ultimatebb.php/ubb/forum/f/7.html

And Here: http://www.allstocks.com/stockmessageboard/ubb/ultimatebb.php/ubb/forum/f/3.html

I just wish folks would post more on Allstocks about their non OTC/BB/Pink/Greys

Maybe if more of us who are also investing in the big boards would start posting more at those links, it could become more active.

I agree Jenna, I started playing pennies last year. I got scammed by RSHN, IPRE, FHAL/CSHD, and FGFC. Literally every single penny I bought has gone down to nothing.

I did buy FCCN as my last ditch effort in the pennies only because of the Aero merger, and will hold for that. But I will never buy another PK or OTCBB stock again... I'm now looking at small cap Nasdaq stocks in the $1 - $5 range that look ready to go higher. One I've done really well on and has made up for most of my penny losses has been SOFO.

Got in at 1.20 last year and rode her to $5 - slow and steady. She's now just under $4 and I'm considering taking a new position there.

The penny market is dying because of people like Rufus Paul Harris, and many other fraudulent CEO's. There simply is no 'trust' left. Personally I think they should just shut down the PK's and the OTCBB for good. Well at least after the FCCN/Aero merge goes through [Wink]

Anyway I understand your pain on these, good luck on the big boards. You won't see the 'stunning' games but you also won't have a hillbilly loser like RPH promising $15 a share !

Very sorry for you Jenna. I have enjoyed reading your posts. I know I'm not the one to give advice so I won't. I was just looking at one stock that went from .0002 to .84 in 1 month and that is a pink. I don't have much vested in this world of OTC but there is plenty to be made. and imo big board or little board pink scamish stocks it doesn't matter - it can suck the money right down the drain. There are some good people here as I know you know that can help you climb back up that ladder. I wish you the best.

otcbbs/pinks over .5 usually don't have much dilution or mm crap
always good plays for a quick 10 or 15 percent like today ugth or ytbl
much easier to get 10 percent consistently with a more expensive one than it is trying to get 50 or 100 percent over a otcbb/pink under .1 or .2

Pinks are the problem, and any OTC stock that is diluting.

Look at the filings for OTC stocks and avoid all with forms "S" or "4" and often 8K. Many are not diluting and wont start. Avoid all that are. Never buy pinks. Never buy on "news", which is just fraud.

Do this and you will break even.

I think the main problem with the pennies is the fed. Volume died as interest rates went up.

The "up" action on the pennies right now is very small. 95% fall every day. Stay away but keep the powder dry.

You guys talk about gains of anywhere from 10% to 50% as if it were bad. You could always put your money in a CD at 4% a year !!! If you're looking to hold long term, you are absolutely right, pennies are a bad choice. But for short term and day traders, its a bonanza. I've hit 4 plays this month between 60 % and 145% profit. Also 7 others between 25 % to 40% profit. I doubt very highly if that can be done on the big board. Pennies are not for the faint of heart or your kids college fund money. You are better off with a mutual fund designed for college savings. You CANNOT fall in love with penny stocks, especially pinks. Get in and get out when you've made your profit or cut your losses when it didn't move like you hoped for. You cannot ride them out to oblivion. The stock market is like the casinos or the race track. You put your money down and hope for the best, BUT it is one of the few venues where you can take your money off the table after the bet. If you ride any investment while its dropping like a rock, that's just stupidity. Just MHO !!

No doubt Joe. Look at the charts for USSE and SJR. Do your DD and you can find the runners - from .0002 or even in the $30 - $40 ranges. IMO the pennies are more attractive since you can buy more shares / but if you buy a fair amount at a higher price you can still get a decent return - may not have a gazillion shares but you can still make some green.
the 2 I mentioned were an example and this is not a buy sell recommendation.

Yeah, you can easily make more money here on crappy stocks than on CD's. Banks are for the poor and uneducated...

BUT, pinks are nowhere to invest $20K Jenna.. that was your mistake. Throw $1000 in pinks, and maybe make it 3 or 4, or lose it.

Your $20K should be going into OTC growth stocks... stocks that take 3 months, 6 months or even 1 year to give you 4-500% gains.

It is always good to have something tucked away that will never be touched. Gold or silver IMO. This is a very good site and a good rep to go through for certs IMO.

http://www.swissamerica.com/

Precious metals closed mixed on Monday as oil and stocks fell and the dollar rose. Gold closed in NY off $2.00 to $633.40/oz., while silver rose $.06 to $12.87/oz. "OPEC nations are unloading $10B in U.S. Treasuries as oil tumbles"... meanwhile, "China diversifies $1T investments to include more crude oil and metals..."

People who think the big boards don't make high percentage returns are plain foolish. They have the misconception that large cap stocks produce bank-like returns. It is plain wrong. This is why:
1. Large cap stocks are cheaper to trade.
2. Large cap stocks are easier to trade.
3. Large cap stocks are investigable.

Plus, large cap stock are bundles of more fun, and consistent.

Jenna....If you want to trade big boards, a good message board is

http://thelion.com/bin/forum.cgi?tf=wall_street_pit

There's a few people that always post great NASDAQ alerts....like the OBCI and FMDAD, CPSL, FFHL, ZICA, ZVUE, EFUT, MAMA....Amazing gains if you read the posts at the lion. You'll thank me...plays with big momo you can throw in 20k and take it out in seconds when you sell, in penny stocks this is scary. even if you only make a few % on 20k a few times a week that will add up huge...but every day there's 15% or more movers with good volume.

Also now that Microcaptrade covers $5 NASDAQ, you can use the filter and top 400 and find the best NADAQ runners everyday. You can track higer priced NASDAQs if yo add it to you're watch list, then it will track it...just won't put out life news and show up in the filters or top 400, just in you watch list.

With NASDAQ stocks, all you need is for it to go up a few cents and you can make money...Even if you don't get in early on a stock with good news, wait for it to dip just a little buy and sell after it went up even just a few cents. 1% of 20k is still $200. You can do that in a few seconds.

I think big board stocks are much more predictable as well. If you position trade then the profits are very easy to come by if you just look at trendlines and such. Earning 10% on a single play over the year is not very difficult to come by. I see many big boards that do much better and even double in a year. Keep in mine, small-mid cap stocks are still big board in my book, so long as they trade over $50 million a day.

Jenna...Since you're cute, I'll give you an even better message board for big board stocks ...actually its's a chat room. It's totally free and over 400 of the best daytraders are in there everyday.

mIRC message board with 600+ traders on a day

First you need to have or download mIRC from www.mirc.com. It is a free download . Use FianancialChat server. There are a number of good channels there, with #activetrader being the top one. It now requires you to register your nickname. No fee of course.
