I'm tired of the scottrade commisions growing WITH my cash. I was looking at etrade its 100 commision free trades free level2 (qualifying not hard) 7-10 dollar commisions (depending on trading activity)

i mean everything on the site looks pretty clean cut and to the chase. but Are there any restrictions? like things you gotta keep check of, whats the deal? tia

i use tdameritrade for pennies, $9.99 for anything. they do not charge extra for stocks under a $1.00.

i use scottrade for anything over a $1.00, $7.00 trades, scottrade will kill you with there .5% on your principle, for anything under a $1.00

Can Canadians get an account with Choicetrade?
Are there any other options for canadian brokers other than TD and Etrade?

I have both etrade and choicetrade...I prefer etrade for the level 2's....but use the choicetrade account because of the fees...I can do 2 round trips (buy and sell) on choicetrade for the same price as one round trip on etrade...after a short time....the savings add up...

renrob...I did read that canadians can use the choicetrade...the answer that questions in there F&Q section...

I don't like the look of Scotties charts but the streamer is free. I think you have to pay 20 a month at choice to get that.

I'd like to hear more bout Choice trade - Do the MM's do you dirty on passing over your sell orders there??
Are your sells executed fairly and timely? And buys - do the MM's allow you to get in say if the tag is .0002 and drops to .0001 [Can you get in at .0001 or is it the same on all brikerages??].

I'm sure there are different opinions..but as an example...Friday I was able to get my shares at the low order i had them in..which was the same as some other posters on the XKEM thread...mine filled...there's didn't...Was my order in first or something? I have no idea...but mine went through...

I haven't had a problem at all...actually...it seems to go much quicker than my etrade account...I have no idea why...

mine fill quickly enough, but rarely in one bloc...ie, usually get partials, but not a silly, single partial and that's it--I get my full order. But that *is* different from Scottie, which rarely yields partials...in fact, can't remember one. On the other hand, C-Trade never "lost" an order, either. Scottie has lost 2 or 3...

I'll go along with that, sounds good and I agree about ScT. - Thinking of trying them soon.
Thank you.

I meant trying CHOICETRADE in case I was not clear in the above.
Sorry for the oversight.
