Can some please help me understand this: I am having trouble accepting this and the fact that companies possibly get away with it. Is there a possibility that companies dilute (oversell stocks) until the price bottoms then do a reverse split only to watch the new pps drop again? Has this happen in anyone's experience?
Does the new PPS ever go up? or does it drop to the previous PPS before the RS? I have looked at the history of a couple of stocks with RS and the price still gets lower.

A company claims to have expand to justify the R/S but pinkies are all news and no audited financial or assets data. I think there should be a law against pinkies doing R/S.
Thanks in advance for anyone who listens and reply.

Interesting...

Sounds like you have an understanding...don't struggle with accepting it ...it is what it is...the key is to not get caught in one...Tuition here in Pennyland can get expensive...

There are lots of folks here who recognize it when there is a possibility of an RS...sometimes their approach and demeaner have a lot to be desired...listen to them even if folks call them bashers or their style is rude and disrespectful...then decide what you need to do based on all the input...both bashers and pumpers...You've been here for 6+ months so you must have noticed the folks who make sense...
Good luck...

DRDF has had an R/S before. A 1 for 20 R/S on 2002/08/09. Before the RS in 2002 the 50 day price averaged .225 (eyeballed). Today DRDF closes at .0039

I am relatively new myself so don't take my word alone. One thing's for certain, do a ton of research on the stocks you buy. Here is the link to find any company's past info.

Interesting, look at WTVN (WiFi TV). They did a reverse split at the end of July of last year of 200 to 1. The new PPS after the RS was 0.10. Not long after the RS, the co. began to dilute the stock again and within a month of the RS, PPS was under penny. Look at it right now. Mark my words they will do another RS in due time. Lost a couple of 1000 on this one. Worst penny I ever had.

You're overlooking the fact that DRDF isn't even a pink... it's otcbb... plenty of info available on major holders/insider buys/sells and how they spend your money. It's all in the filings.

RVMN, or is it RVNM, or is it RVMO, or is it ...
They are otcbb, too.

WTVN is a pink, though.

WOW!! WTVN has had 3 R/S. These two before the 200 to 1:
Shares decreased by 1 for 20 split. Effective date=12-7-01
Shares decreased by 1 for 50 split. Effective date=4-20-4

TickTrader, if those octbb companies started trading up out of the pinks it would be cool after an R/S.
Correct me if I am wrong, the difference between .pk and .ob is just that the information (filings) for octbb are reported to the SEC whereas the .pk are unaudited. The companys are still in the same financial ".pk" condition.

Hey Tick, your are correct in that it's RVMO. I jokingly refer to them as RVHO:)

I think you get my drift with that one.

But there are some crafty CEO's that have learned that a r/s is a the death of selling their stock and foregos the r/s and dilute to 100 billion shares or better without letting there shareholders know and actually lie to cover it up. Talking about buybacks and being pleasantly surprised at what the o/s is. A lot will even let you know parts of the o/s but hides the fact that there is other creative names for the rest of the o/s that they conveniently forget to mention. And almost always they have people on the boards that will trash anyone that questions anything about the stock calling them bashers. If they are refusing to allow the TA to give the share structure out they are lying about it, period.

Don't forget to go to Reverse split notification here on allstocks bulletin boards by magnetic microspheres. it's always good to check here before you decide to buy into a stock that's planning a reverse split or already did one.

always helpful.
