Trust me....It has been all luck...and alot of patience...but I am begining to learn to see what is going to move and what is dead....and it seems as of late..there are more dead ones...
You need to watch the MM's...and play the way they play...if they are buying..you buy...if they are selling....you sell...I have seen great PR's come out and the stock go down???!!! and with no news another stock will increase 50-500%...???!!! it seems that in penny land it's about the MM's!! I'm learning...and it's been fun and frustrating all at the same time!

is it weird that nobody's lost money overall?
i mean, somebody's gotta lose.. this is a negative-sum game.
i guess everyone here at allstocks wins, and everyone on the outside of these walls are the ones that we're taking our money from. lol.
or maybe people just aren't speaking up if they've lost money. or they're already gone from the board, and are living out on the streets now. i hope not, though. i love being around successful people. it makes things a lot more fun.

Edge... I am sure we all have lost at some point in time...the sum that I gave doesn't count the times when i have lost on the stock...but only what I have gained...I don't think that I have lost more than 2-300 at a time..but then the next day..I might gain 500...so it washes away the loss and puts me at a gain of 2-300...
Sam...that is fantastic!!! You keep it up girl!!!

In 2005 I lost $1500 with QBID. It was my first penny stock and I didn't have a clue. I started with $1000 in 2006 (and a clean slate )and have made $1200 profit so far.

Edge, plenty of people have lost...they just aren't posting. Notice that almost everyone who has posted has been in for four months or less.
Here's a realistic picture for you.
I've been in since end of 03 and started with $1000.
I've made some great plays in that time, held some flatlines for WAY too long, and lost my shirt once or twice as well.
At the high's my account has been over $7000 and at the lows I've been just under $500. Currently I am some where between the two.
My suggestions to protect yourself.
Get a margin account. With a margin account you can turn around three times a week withoutbreaking the rules instead of waiting the three day settling period. This can be a lifesaver if the stock starts tanking the day after you bought it.
Buy on rumor sell on news. BUT if you aren't certain what the news will be, it might be a good choice to sell BEFORE the news comes out. I once had a oil stock that had news of a new well driving the price. News came out, well was dry. Even though I was fairly quick on the ball I still lost 50%+.
Don't be impatient with a stock if you really believe in the company and the product. The only thing worse than jumping out too late is jumping out right before a run.
....I could go on but that really isn't the topic of this forum is it? Just remember, you are on a rollercoaster so don't get discouraged and make emotionally desperate moves when you take a dip. Be deliberate in your decisions.
Interesting Thread CB, Thanks, The Bigfoot
