Anyone have any information on whether either or these two brokerages are good or bad to use for online trading? Any other brokerages anyone uses other than these two? Thanks!

Depends. What are you looking to trade, stocks(swing or daytrade) options, futures? Personally I 've used both and don't like either.

I use MB Trading. MB is an excellent broker for daytrading, swing, options and futures. Very good for futures trading(E-minis). OTCBB and Pinks are avaliable too.

I use Ameritrade. I've had almost no problems. I have yet to hear someone say something good about E-trade. All I've heard (a lot) is how horrible E-trade is.

I know zilch about either E-Trade or Ameritrade, but sonmeone who does needs to post here whether or not they are available to Canadians. I keep seeing post from Canadians asking what US brokers can or will (I'm lead to understand there are certain laws in Canada interfering in general) serve Canadians.
