My guess is this has been asked before, but I will ask again....

I have sold a few stocks and some of the funds went right back into the account instantly and some stocks were unsettled cash [Frown] .

My question (s) is, what determines when selling, that the funds go into unsettled cash and also for how long? Is it certain stocks that do this?
