Hey i've recently sold out some stocks in order to buy in some new stocks that I like right now but for some reason the money goes into the "Unsettled Cash" category and I can't use it. It's been like this for 2-3 days. Is this normal? Note these transactions were done all through ameritrade.

If it is normal, how long does it generally take for the money to clear?

I think it will settle after 3 trading days. If you want to avoid this wait, you can set up a margin account.
