What are the short-term and long-term capital gain rates? Thanks.

Short term is what ever your regular tax rate is. I think, Long term I have no idea. Never been there.

I think its 15% Long and 35% short. I believe thats the newest rates

I believe long term gains are the profits made on selling a stock that you have held for more than 1 year. The tax rate for these gains I believe are 15% as stated here by others. If you buy and sell a stock that you have not held for one year, the profits will be taxed using the short gain rate which is between 30-35%. Cannot remember the exact percentage.
