Kinda new to this trading - when a company has a forward split on their stock, does the company's stock price usually go down some? I would appreciate some info.

Thanks,
Joker

joker,

The answer is yes, generally to near the proportion of the split. For example, a stock at $100:

2x1 - $50
3x2 - $66
3x1 - $33
4x1 - $25
10x1- $10
and so on.

Bear in mind that they do not always reduce that way exactly but you can think of it as a rule of thumb. Further, given time after a forward split most stocks are inclined to rise back to the price level where it was when it split. None of the above is hard and fast as a rule...just guideline.
