I use trading direct for my broker. Anyone else use them?

Anyway my question is this. I want to sell a stock and the stock is sitting at the price I am trying to sell it at. My order won't go through.

I wonder if it is because I have no available cash in the acct. So will they take the transaction fee out of the money I make on the stock or do I have to have it in available cash first?

TS

I have had them for about a year. They take it out of the transaction so no problem their. May be others with bid at same price first or they may be on another stream. TD usually uses NITE and unlike some of the big boys they dont hit all 8 or 9 streams for MM's. At times I have sat with a bid at the ask for hours without it going through.

Actually am considering switching to Ameritrade for my active trading and staying with TD for my buy and holds.

Lumik
May you please tell me why choicetrade is better than ameritrade other than that it is cheaper.
Thanx

Lumik - I am not nearly as interested in price of trades as quick reliable service. To me saving a couple of hundred a year in trade costs, goes up in smoke with one slow trade at the wrong time. I have heard mixed things about choicetrade but have a friend I trust that tells me Ameritrade fulfils my requirements. Thanks for your input though.
