Hey I'm 18 and really new to this, I started a few months ago and I went down for a while then hit big (for me) with one stock and it sent me up a little. Anyways my question is, I've seen a bunch of penny stocks that are REALLY cheap, I'm talking about the ones priced at 0.0001, and they have regular spikes where they shoot up to 0.01 and then back down again. The one stock that put me back in the green was like that, and I'd like to get into these since 10 bucks will get you 100,000 shares. The theory sounds okay to me and I've watched time and time again as I see a pick of mine do exactly what I thought it would do. Which leads me to my problem. I can't seem to buy the stocks at that low price. I look on my screener and see that people are trading them at this price, but for some reason it's never me. Why is it that I cannot seem to buy these extremely micro stocks at that low price yet other people manage to just fine? Thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome to Allstocks. Some brokers don't trade pinks but will trade otcbb. This might be the problem. Myself, I use TD Waterhouse, and it allows me to buy pinks & otcbb, the funny thing with them when I look at my holdings, it rounds to 3 decimals so my value is always way higher than it actually is. I believe there are other threads on this topic where you can't buy 0.0001's. My friend has to place his order for pinks and otcbb on the phone then he can modify it on the net.

kjs I have TDWaterhouse too and have the same problem with decimal places. They trade pinks fine, I just picked up USCI at 0.0001 (took 2 days).
