I am sick and tired of turning on the TV and watching the oil barrel prices go through the roof!!!....How can we stop this Nonsense before the bleeding is too much??...Stock prices are not rising and we're not seeing the profits we all like to see because of gas prices and inflation....It's gonna be a domino effect before too long, I've heard Milk prices also to go up as high as $4 per gallon, Delta Airlines is in the brink of Bankruptcy unless some adjustment are made bringing flight prices up, Interest rates are about to rise, meat prices are outrageous and to top it off we are not getting raises with our employers---some of us even getting laid off....What is going on!!!!!

All this stuff you mentioned doesnt matter to make a profit in the stock market.. as long as prices are moving... you can make a profit... prices going down then go Short.. prices going up .. its a no brainer go long... if prices moving sideways.. then wait and see if it breaks the resistance or support then either go short or long... the only time people would not make any money in the Market is if the Market stopped moving.. as long as its moving someone is making money...its Capitalism at its finest... besides with 8,000 or more stocks out there to choose from.. if your not making nice profits on at least one stock then your not doing a very good job at finding a profitable stock and analyzing it.. <shrugs> ... besides if prices are going up in certain industries in which their product is a necessity (oil or gas comes to mind since almost all of us need to drive to work or somewhere or planes need fuel etc.. you get the idea of the possibilities out there) to us and we very much cannot live without their product.. i think its safe to say perhaps companies in that industry are making profits and there stocks are going up (or down perhaps).. maybe you should stop complaining and research those industries for a profitable stock... who knows you might make a few bucks and not care about those other things (inflation, higher rates, oil prices etc.) anymore... <shrugs>

Better get used to it.

Increased demand, China is buying cars, and limited supply. The oil glass is half empty.

People would just buy the day before or the day after, we can't not buy gas. I think that they are playing games with the prices also but what do we do. They run the price up 30% and we all scream so they drop it 20% and everybody says ok thats better I'm in california where they have been doing this for years. I don't think its going to help but I'll pass it on and not buy gas on the 19th.

Stop buying stuff at Wal-Mart. China is in need of 10%+ more oil every year for as far as one can see. The US needs 2% more oil. China is encouraging all it's citizens to buy a car and quit with the bikes. After giving Russia all that foreign aid they sold their oil to china, Doh! Every country but Saudi is running near 100%. And if you say just drill more I say that is a short-term Fix, That will at best keep us even with the couple of million mexicans in mini-vans that move here every year.

You should probably get use to more unless someone can tell me where there will be enough oil for a billion Chinese and a Billion Indians.

When I was a kid people would say we'd never run out of oil. Then that was true but if you get 3 or 4 billion people driving, Well that is a lot of oil.

I can't believe anyone that understands stocks would fall for it. If I own a gas station I could care less if a single person comes in a given day as long as business overall stays the same. You are either buying gas the day before or day after. So What is this suppose to prove? Don't buy gas for a week and prices will go down eventually but that is call supply and demand not "oh no nobody bought our gas lower prices 12 cents."

And yes some of the oil companies are making a nice profits. It is what they are in business for and they sell a commodity. No one cried for the during the first gulf war when price at first were high then went to .79 cent. I paid .65. Texaco went broke. I told a guy that and he said they were stealing all the money. Great logic, in business for 80 years and when the bottom falls out and they can't make a profit at 8.50 a barrel they are stealing the money then must have stopped stealing the money after prices went up. It fluctuates. If China gets another 10 million people in cars in the next six months and builds another 12000 factories are oil prices suppose to go down?

I am looking to purchase a bulletin board stock directly from a Market Maker. Does anyone know a good broker/market maker of penny stocks who charges reasonable mark-ups/commissions?
