CHICO, Calif., Nov 01, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Star Nutrition, Inc. /quotes/comstock/11i!stau (STAU 0.00, +0.00, +50.00%) , a Chico, California-based diversified health and wellness industry firm, is pleased to announce that it has entered into new agreements to distribute its products with two Nevada-based retail distributors.
First, Edge Med, LLC, has signed a non-exclusive contract with Star Nutrition to distribute the Company's Incredisocks products within the U.S. medical and wellness markets. Edge Med has already secured an order for Incredi-socks from Veteran Hospital of Reno, Nevada. Prior to this new distribution agreement, Edge Med was instrumental in placing Incredisocks in Scheel's Sporting Goods, a 295,000 square foot "super-store" specializing in athletic equipment and apparel, as well as several pharmacies in the greater Reno, Nevada area.
Second, Incredi-Products of Nevada LLC, an independently-operated company with no relation to Star Nutrition, has signed a non-exclusive agreement with the Company to sell its products in the large animal veterinarian, Native American, and holistic offices, including the chiropractic and physical therapy fields. Incredi-Products of Nevada had already begun selling the Incredibraces product as well as the new Incredibraces for horses.
Regarding these live subject tests of the Incredibraces for horses, Star Nutrition President and Incredibraces designer Dr. Jackson Corley said, "We placed the Incredibrace on the lower legs of the horses, and within 20 minutes an increase in blood circulation was detected, not just within the localized area, but throughout the affected leg. Horse owners will be attracted to a product like Incredibraces, particularly in light of it being a non-invasive, non-drug therapy."
Meanwhile, as Incredibraces are being launched for both humans and horses, Star Nutrition reports that its monthly orders of its Incredisocks has reached 10,000 pairs per month. In the past 60 days Star Nutrition has release 6 new types of diabetic socks, 5 new Incredibraces, and 2 new horse Incredibraces.
