We talked to Briscoe today the President/CFO of LBSR.
The have property adjacent in Alaska to one of the the largest copper and gold deposits in the world (Pebble Mine). They believe their property will have the same ratio of deposits as the adjoining land.
They intend to make AZ the energy capital of the world... with uranium ... Apparently there is enough uranium in their district to equal the energy produced by 2 Prudhoe Bays.
Geophysical surveys are being completed and a presentation will be created from that data.
Liberty Star Raises Cash to Cover Alaska Claim Rental
Liberty Star Uranium & Metals Corp. (the “Company”) (OTCBB:LBSR) is pleased to announce that as of November 27, 2009 the Secured Convertible Promissory Notes issued August 14, 2009 were increased in aggregate by the total of $206,212. Other aspects of the August 14, 2009 notes remain unchanged. (see the SEC 8K filing, December 1, 2009 for detailed information).
These funds have been used to finalize Alaska State mining claim rental fees and other associated costs for the porphyry copper-gold-moly claims comprising the Big Chunk Super Project (adjacent to the Pebble porphyry project in the Iliamna mining district of SW Alaska), and our gold exploration Bonanza Hills Project about 60 miles north east.
