With these hurricanes(Ike cat.4, Hanna cat.1, etc...) coming, some companies will help to rebuild homes and offices...

Undervalued stocks? But do your dd...you'll see

Here's my picks:

WEGI at 0.06$ ready to help Florida(in at 0.058)
NSMG at 0.03$ ready to help Florida too(in at 0.03)

Good luck guys!

These two don't seem to run or react as strongly late in the season as they do early, however Ike might spur a surprise.

I'm in low, low, low and made a little green on NSMG...about even on WEGI though...had to average down.

But speculators were in early and stayed in. This year they got back out. It remains to be told whether they moved on to something else or still watching.

9/08/08 - See what I mean? Either Ike is not projected to hit the right part of the country, speculators don't care anymore, or investors are out of money (or have it tied up somewhere else).

I agree with you Jagman, a lot of the market is acting "different" than usual. My opinion it's the Economy as a whole.

Evacuations Called at Houston

Ike is following a track similar to the 1900 Galveston hurricane that killed 8,000 people....

ADDL is beginning a move as well.

Remember donations of portions proceeds that are gained from storms should go back to the people affect by the storms.

I'm in Houston. Ike is taking dead aim.

A little breezy so far...sure beats the heat,...hmmmm.

Good thing is, Houston is so big that on our side of town we won't feel the full affects...but backside winds should be between70-90 mph.

Here' the scoop on NSMG and WEGI - there are so many construction and restoration companies in Houston and South Texas, they won't effectively gain any high profit business. On the other hand when large storms hit the southern east coast or shoot up the gut like Katrina, they can compete for business.

Thoughts?

Anviron Prepares for Beach Erosion from Hurricane Ike
Friday September 12, 8:30 am ET
Beach Erosion Damage from Gustov and Hanna estimated at $312.6 Million

IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Anviron Holding Company (Pinksheets:ANVH - News) (“Anviron”), a manufacturer and marketer of "Clean & Green" products and technology, today announced the repositioning of its environmental damage and restoration teams to Southwest Houston in preparation of Hurricane Ike making landfall in Texas over the weekend.

As the waves from Hurricane Ike come closer to shore and the Texas beach communities prepare for massive erosion damage, homeowners are scrambling to figure out what to do when the public beaches recede into the Gulf and private property is placed directly in harm's way. Places like Surfside, Texas have seen some of the worst erosion on the Gulf coast in recent years and they face the wrath of Hurricane Ike without any natural protections. The Dunes are gone, salt grass missing and the homes sit at the water’s edge on stilts. Anviron’s damage assessment teams are preparing to enter the area shortly after the hurricane and assist in damage assessment for the local, state and federal governments.

Our assessment teams have spent the last three weeks going up and down the east cost and in the vicinity of New Orleans evaluating the storm damage from Tropical Storm Hanna and Hurricane Gustov for the development of next year's project proposals. Beach erosion damage in Florida, Georgia, South and North Carolina’s have been estimated at more than $312.6 million. FEMA officials had asked for a rough estimate, as a potential starting point for the damage costs. Example of some of the worst damage is in the area around New Smyrna Beach, Florida were they lost about 50 feet width of beach from the storm, said Volusia coastal division director Joe Nolin.

Anviron’s proprietary technology has been designed over the last 11 years to directly fix the problems and circumstances surrounding the eroded and highly saline property caused by Hurricanes and winter storms surge and extensive wave action. “Our people have been repositioned to SW Houston to again assist in the assessment of damage caused by these storms,” said Mark Whitermore -- Marketing and Sales Manager for Anviron.

Anviron is a company dedicated to bringing to market "Clean Solutions to Complex Problems" by offering a wide range of biodegradable, environmentally friendly products and technologies that will substitute for many of the hazardous chemicals commonly used all over the world.
