Nashville Records, Inc. (PINK SHEETS: NSHV) enters contract negotiations with American Idol finalist Kimberly Caldwell. In 2003, she was a top finalist on Fox's "American Idol," and her exposure landed her on-camera in Hollywood and on reality TV shows. She was an instant fan favorite, finishing among the top finalists competing for the "American Idol" title.
She was a featured vocalist at the Country Tonite Theater in Branson from 1994 to 1996. She also performed on Ed McMahon's "Star Search" and still holds the record for most wins by a junior vocalist. She has a soulful sound and singing passion. Since she was strongly influenced by country music's leading female artists, early plans are to feature her in country music as well as an edgy country-rock sound.
Kimberly is the entertainment correspondent and host for the TV Guide Channel. She has appeared as a live red carpet correspondent at Hollywood award events including the Grammy's, the Academy Awards, the People's Choice Awards, the Emmy's and the Golden Globes. Kimberly also appeared on "Oprah," "Access Hollywood," "Larry King Live," "Inside Edition," "Entertainment Tonight," "Glenn Beck," "Tyra Banks" and many more.
She has appeared in magazines such as Entertainment Weekly, US Weekly, People, Extra, Cosmopolitan and many others. She was featured in the "Sexiest Women of Reality TV" 2005 calendar. The Company's early plans are to have her produced by independent producers Teddy Gentry & Michael Curtis and released this fall or early winter. Larry Pareigis, the man responsible for breaking such acts as Gretchen Wilson, Montgomery Gentry, the Dixie Chicks, and Tracy Lawrence, is anxious to make Kimberly Caldwell another household name.
