SATSair Enters an Agreement with Coastal Technologies Group to Evaluate the Firm's Aviation Optimization Platform Technology
11:03 PM ET Jun 21, 2007
BOCA RATON, Fla., Jun 21, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Coastal Technologies Group, Inc. (CTGi), a leader in accrual and route optimization for the telecommunications industry, today announced the general availability of an industry-leading ASP based Aviation Optimization Platform. SATSair joins a growing list of domestic and international Parts 91, 121 and 135 operators that will be testing and evaluating CTGi's platform for their information technology needs. The evaluation period will continue until the end of August 2007. At that time, SATSair will then consider a formal agreement with CTGi. "Charter and Air Taxi operators are under increasing pressure to dynamically optimize flight assignments, minimize non revenue flight miles, and manage margins against a backdrop of ever increasing fuel and regulatory costs," said Richard Kane, CEO for Coastal Technologies Group and a world record holding commercial pilot. "Until now, carriers did not have an ability to dynamically route in a matter of seconds and minutes, as opposed to hours or days." "The concept of event-based processing of individual flight requests in the optimization model has gotten more traction in recent months, giving providers the ability to quote and re-route in real time, enhancing visibility into their traffic patterns, and ultimately optimizing costs and revenues." Phil Quist, Vice President of Business Operations of SATSair stated, "We are excited about this software and the opportunity to evaluate its practical use for our air cab model. This platform could assist greatly with SATSair's growth and expansion." As part of this announcement, Coastal Technologies Group is also announcing its booking portal, leveraging patents on the booking of air travel by street address and the dynamic assignment of ground transport to minimize airplane movements in high density airport areas. Aviation Dashboard, an easy-to-use monitoring tool, provides a near real-time window and can now show aviation results in different formats and levels of detail for various audiences within a carrier, such as dispatchers, maintenance, management and executives.
