Adrenaline Nation Entertainment, Inc. (Pink Sheets:ADNN), which produces Adrenaline Nation TV, the leading channel for cutting edge independent music TV, innovative short films, motor sports, and adrenaline sports for the highly coveted 18-49 demographic, announced today that it has launched a new record label to promote and market the independent artists featured on Adrenaline Nation TV, the leading destination site on the Internet for independent artists. ANTV has amassed one of the largest independent artist music video libraries for television broadcasting which enables independent artists to play on the same field as the artists on major labels. "We are in the most unique position to select the hottest up and coming indie artists AROUND THE WORLD before the major labels even get a chance to know that they are available," said Juan Contreras, Director of Artist Relations, Adrenaline Nation Entertainment, Inc. "Our collective track record and expertise in finding the most promising up and coming talent in Country, Rock, and Blues is legendary."
Music from the new label will be available for download from the ANTV website, www.adrenalinenationtv.com and through a soon to be announced retail distribution partnership that will make our CDs and DVDs available to all the top national retailers.
"We are in tune to the street and have always had the ability to find the best independent talent to feature on our independent music TV station," said Keith Dressel, CEO of Adrenaline Nation Entertainment, Inc. "Our mission is to empower them, help them build their careers, and give them a competitive edge. We plan to hire a promotional staff for radio, Internet marketing, and traditional retail sales and marketing. ANTV will run special spotlights on these artists on our channel which is currently available in 88 of the 178 major cable markets serving nearly 28 million homes via broadband, digital cable and satellites."
Throughout his career Keith Dressel has exhibited an extraordinary talent for finding, signing and promoting some of the hottest new talent in the industry. He has generated over $4.1 billion in music sales and has produced 29 Gold Records, 26 Platinum Albums, and 85 Gold Singles. His Alternative Rock label, CORE Records, was named Alternative Rock Label of the Year (3 times) as well as Independent Label of the Year and Independent Country Label of the Year. CORE Records was responsible for finding and marketing some of the top indie artists such as Ed Roland, lead singer Collective Soul, and bands such as Vigilantes of Love and Jet Black Factory. They also marketed albums by Tom Petty and Pat Benatar, Jimmy Buffet, Steely Dan and others as well as operated as the marketing arm for Frank Zappa's Barking Pumpkin label while at CORE Records.
Industry veteran Juan Contreras has held senior executive positions at Cartwheel Records, ABC Paramount, Acuff-Rose, and Monument Records. He began his music business career in record promotion and publishing working with industry giants Dale Morris and Ron Chancey at Cartwheel records. Cartwheel Records was purchased by ABC Paramount Records where along with Don Gant, Juan helped promote the careers of such greats as Jimmy Buffet, Jim Croce, Billy Crash Craddock, Delbert McClinton and others. Among the greatest hits that Juan has promoted are I Can Help, Billy Swann, and Why Me Lord, Kris Kristofferson.
During his music publishing career his successes included Garth Brooks, Friends in Low Places and five number one George Strait hits including You Can't Make a Heart Love Somebody and Check Yes or No, which won a Country Music Award. All of these George Strait hits are on his recent 50 Number Ones album which has sold approximately 4 million records. At Monument Records, he helped start the recording careers of such talents as Kris Kristofferson, Larry Gatlin, and Billy Swann. "One of my most favorite songs that I ever published was "Friends In Low Places" co-written by pal Earl Bud Lee," added Juan Contreras. "Along with Keith Dressel, we will have many more."
As creative director at Acuff-Rose, Contreras worked with such great writers as Don Everly, and Mickey Newbury. While at Acuff-Rose, Mr. Contreras also worked as talent coordinator for William F. Cook television, where he worked on the television shows, Nashville Swing and In Session, bringing Nashville country music artists on board to perform on the shows. He founded publishing company, Larry Butler Music, with Larry Butler which published many number one records for George Strait, Eddy Raven, Alabama, and Kenny Rogers. Later Contreras started a new publishing company, Double J Music, with Jim Scott. Juan sold his company Double J Music to Bob Beckham and Lonny Gant at HoriPro Entertainment and it remains still a major revenue generator for them.
With 25% of music sales in the U.S. coming from independent artists, ANTV fills a massive void in the world of music television. ANTV programming is currently available in 88 of the 178 major cable markets serving nearly 28 million homes via broadband, digital cable and satellite and viewed by approximately 4 million Internet subscribers daily and it has aggressive plans for rapid expansion.
