I am in for the second round. Got in cheaper this time then last. Kinda like that. If the BOD accepts the offer than the price goes up. If the BOD rejects the offer the price should go up. IMO its a win win. Thats what I am hoping for anyway. TMAN...

wow.. what a turn around.. looking good.. .12 now..maybe good news leaked out.. man, some of them ihu b ppl are really stuck on the valuation of the company.. even if it has a potential for billions, it doesn't mean it can be sold for billions..

I stole this from the HSM board. Interesting... TMAN...
The most recent annual report on NovaGold's website was issued in early 2006 for the year 2005. This report http://www.novagold.net/i/pdf/AnnualReport-2005.pdf lists on page 2 the company's property portfolio which gives details of reserves. Between the properties listed their total reserves are 34.5 million ounces of gold, 220 million ounces of silver, 15.2 billion pounds of copper, and 4.4 billion pounds zinc. Using current prices for these minerals gives a total resource value of $88.7 billion, which is roughly 9 times Aurus' $9.8 billion in assets. At the time of this report, NovaGold traded at about $14.5 with 92 million outstanding shares giving a total value of about $1.334 billion. Aurus has 320 million outstanding shares. Assuming all things being equal and a 9 to 1 ratio of resources, this gives Aurus a total value of $148 million which works out to $0.463 per share. I have yet to look into the infrastructure differences between NovaGold and Aurus and have not factored into this any debt that either company might have but i believe that this gives us some sort of an idea of a best case scenario. Based on this it doesn't look like some people's guesses of an offer of $1 plus isn't likely. So my guess is that any offer Aurus has received will be somewhere in the .20's or .30's. I hope that this is of use to some of you. If this runs into the mid .20's by Tuesday I think i'll sell off half my position in case the announcement of such an offer has a negative impact on the PPS since many people out there have been hoping for an offer similar to that of NDOL. Good luck to you all and if anyone out there cares to try and factor in the infrastructure and debt differences between these companies that would probably help narrow the estimate.

The Board has concluded that the recent stock price was deliberately brought down in order to pressure it to accept the proposed offer.
The Board had numerous conversations with Finance Company Kartix during the course of the last 24 hours and explained why the offer cannot be accepted and that it will recommend to shareholders to accept $.68 per share.
It communicated to Finance Company Katrix that it recommends to the shareholders that the offer is too low and that they should accept an offer of $.68 per share. Consequently, the original offer of $.38 is refused and a counter offer of $.68 is made with an expiry date of April 30, 2007, at 18:00 hours.
The Board made their decision on the fact that the assets of Aurus Corp. are $8 billion as well as the fact that the company is in production. With expenses ranging at approximately 70% of the production value of the minerals, the amount of profit in relationship to share value is very high and the share price should be $2-3.
Based on the negotiations, the Board believes very strongly that the counter offer will be accepted.

i hope i dont sound stupid here.but if the news goes through and they take the .55 cents per share,dose that mean if you own shares at that time, they then become worth .55 cents per share

it depends on how they pay, the .55 could be .55 worth of shares in the other company.( the value of witch could drop ) ( or the shares could be resticted ) if the deal happens at all, the PR did NOT say it was a cash offer.

Correct madmoney, I jumped to the conclusion it was an all cash offer! Thought I read that but not sure where now. We may get a nice run out of this today anyway!

I called a counter offer back at .56 on hsm a day befor ethis PR....LOL....I also say it's a scam to sell shares......like NDOL, remember, this is NDOL/NWOG's sister stock..... i do not trust the rooskies at all!

NEW YORK, NY, May 03, 2007 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Aurus Corp. (PINKSHEETS: AURC) announces that it entered into an Agreement with Legace and Legault International Inc., a Montreal-based firm specializing in the financing of companies through the issue of equity bonds. The bonds, which shall be guaranteed by corporate assets, shall raise the sum of $10 million over the course of the next 3-4 months. The maturity date for reimbursement is set for year 2022. Mr. Dovgan, president, adds, "The bonds shall complement the funds presently being disbursed by the Kyoto private equity fund. The advantage is that the funds raised by the issue of these bonds shall not dilute the Company stock."
