Check out the effective date.

It is very interesting that it's on the "deletions" section and not the "changes" section.

hopefully that means that AWYB is deleted, all certs must then be accounted for to get an actual count of ownership to find out the short position, then it will be a new symbol early next week.

I guess we'll find out next week. Have a good weekend all.

WOW, that is a pretty bold move by your CEO. I havent seen one yet where they didn't give a deadline date before. But he did say in some NR "cover now or else". Cant say they werent warned.

Now the DTC has to settle and clear AWYB trades. Talk about sticking it to short sellers. Holy moly.

Congrats guys, wish I owned some. Looks like I waited one day too long. Will be watching the fireworks upon CEDE transfer and new symbol. Cant imagine what some of the shorts will be thinking when they get the call "congratulations, you've just become shareholders of Harvard Learning at $2 or more". Ante up!!!

congrats again.

Don did say in his last PR that trading will be stopped for a period so this isn't completely a surprise, but I have no idea what happens next.

Gonefishin, it sounds like you have a better grasp on what happens Monday morning. Can you give some insight?

Hi Kermit,

been DD'ing this thing for a while, but havent purchased any yet.. arggg.. i figured i'd have another week or so.. but nope, your CEO just said "OK enough!" [Smile]

My guess is that if your CEO is correct, and there is a huge short position of shares that dont exist, it will behave similar to Circle Group Holdings. Pull certs...get final numbers...then those short were obliged to enter the market and buy the duly authorized shares of the capital stock.

they were totally screwed. If I remember, when they started trading again, that thing ran from pennies to like $8 bucks afterwards. One of the ultimate classics in short squeezes.

Dunno if yours will do that, but I wouldnt be surprised to see you trading in the $'s when they reopen the company stock. Probably a new symbol, too, just an FYI,

Again, congrats! be ready....

Interesting news from IHub, although I personally thinks it's BS. Not that I think the posters are lying, just that I don't thikn there's anyway it would really happen.

Apparently two different people had GTC orders to sell over $10/share and they were called yb E*Trade brokers saying that they may "cash out" their position.

According to several posters, that's illegal, and according to me, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Just thought I'd throw it out there though. I can't wait to see how this plays out.

Good luck to us.

Good luck to us.

My only concern now is that AMTD will find a way to screw me out of this ala PAVC. I can't wait till all my plays finish playing and I can close out that account.

PhatMan: trading has stopped on AWYB and will never resume under that ticker. There's been a merger or buyout or something with the Harvard Learning Center. A new CUSIP has been issued and there is a cert recall. No trading until the new symbol is assigned.

It doesn't mean anything at this point, but I don't know why realtor's streamer says .36. AWYB closed at .405.

Hurricane Bob, that is really, really interesting that you got the same call. Why would they alert shareholders of a potential cash settlement if there was no big short position. My guess is that the AWYB CEO caught the shorts really off guard by changing CUSIP number so fast and now they are trying to illegally buy shares back from holders. I'd be interested if their offer is like .40 or like $5. Could tip their hand as to how short they are. I'm holding my shares tighlty (not that I could sell if I wanted to...)

Can't wait for the next few days.

pcola, yes it is... i'd been thinking if i f****d it up by puttin seven instead of ten, in the case of these guys gettin ten if they settled for our gtc, lol... if they thought about settling ten, then dam... my feeling is, if its similiar to a paiv situation then this could run teens, not outlandish, although i figure theyre smart enough to shake em lower with every situation being different... but one things for sure, seems like theres a load of content holders that aint letting em go for cheap...i was just sure to tell that i want them there shares there when trading resumes unlike my jphc that are not... we'll see what happens soon enough

from the hub, at the bottom, my sentiment as well ( the new cert divy )

An AWESOME sequence of events....

I don't know if this is Don's plan or if even possible, but the following would be pretty sweet.

Wait for the three day settlement to pass. Trading was essentially halted at the close on Friday, so ALL trades would be settled as of close on Wednesday.

Once ALL trades have been settled, brokers will then submit bulk certs to TA in exchange for new certs.

TA receives bulk certs from all brokers and tallies up total shares.

TA reports total to Don.....now Don would have the EXACT count.

Don PR's the share structure and amount of shares short.

After announcing share structure, Don instructs TA to issue new certs.

Brokers receive new certs and the fun begins (Although, I have no idea how they would divy up the new certs. This, to me, is the most confusing part of the equation)

Most likely wishful thinking, but what the hell.

My only fear is that TDAmeritrade/Izone will still be holding my shares as restricted, while others are trading this at high prices and then it drops down to a low price by the time I am ready to trade !!!!

Well, now I feel your pain! My account got updated today to reflect Harvard Learning Center with a symbol HARVLC (not sure how accurate that is) but doesn't have a value which is normal since it hasn't traded, but it looks like we are getting closer to trading..

Email from Don posted on IHUB and confirmed by several others (I'm on the email list but don't get the emails--go figure):

Dear Shareholders,

Here's an update: We just got notified today by the State of Florida that the merger is approved. We have been in contact with our market makers and NASDAQ trying to get a new symbol as quickly as possible. Our market makers are discussing the matter with NASDAQ as we speak. Hopefully, they will be able to get a new symbol today. Under the worst case scenario, if NASDAQ remains obstinate, it may insist that we first file a 15C 2 11 under the newly merged company, THE HARVARD LEARNING CENTERS, INC. Of course, if we have to do that, it will take time but it's the only effective way to deal with the shorts.

After going through this process and dealing with the time, the expense and the aggravation, I can understand why the shorts almost always win. But this time it will be different; let's see who has the last laugh.

-Don

Don, good job, but what ever happened to the dividend we were supposed to get. I had over 40Mil at that time and never have received anything, neither has anyone else. Hmmm, also, was wondering why you NEVER took my calls, returned my calls or e-mails? Although you deleted most before reading, I caught onto you and snuck a few in with subject headings that you thought were potential customers, but then deleted after you read them. GL to all that are here trying to make bank, but BEWARE of promises, from one who has been there and back.
