VIENNA, Va., Oct 12, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Medical Staffing Solutions, Inc. (MSSI), an established provider of medical personnel and technology services to government and commercial clients, has been awarded a three-year, $1.5 million new contract for nursing services with the Department of Health and Human Services in support of the National Hansen's Disease Program based in Louisiana. This represents the third contract win with this agency in support of this program through the company's wholly-owned subsidiary, TeleScience International, Inc.
Under the terms of the contract, the company provides multiple full-time and part-time employees at the Summit Hospital in Baton Rouge and the Gillis Long Hansen Disease Treatment Facility in Carville, Louisiana. These are the only two facilities in the nation dedicated to the treatment of individuals with Hansen's disease, formerly known as leprosy. MSSI's staff of Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants provides patient care services at these facilities 7 days per week, 365 days per year.

their recruiting process is key. domestic physicians (low hanging fruit) will have to do for near term but beyond that, their continued success and staying competitive will hinge on their own human and financial ability to recruit from such places as india and the fillipines. H1-B visas are limited annually, so this coupled with needing adequate human and financial resources will definately pose a challenge. lets just hope Sahay can soon forge a successful collaberation with the right parties that will create the pipeline necessary to recruit those physicians "increasingly" needed from abroad.
