These three are picking up lots of steam with Tropical Storm Chris strengthening. Storm warning now issued for Bahamas and storm projected North NorthWest towards Florida.

Yeah keeping an eye on these. Glad I don't live down there I'm content with snow storms in NYC. Sorry for anyone who lives in the southeast. LOL

I would personally rate them in order of 1. ECCI 2. NLST 3. WEGI
I own shares in all. I really like ECCI because looking at the charts it had the least gains so far (this year). While NLST and WEGI already had their little. (I am sure they will run again but with less %, I think)

All three are moving pretty close right now. The momo seems to be building up as the Tropical Storm Approaches. I have an order in for ECCI .145 but not filled yet.

Guys i have been Pounding the Table on ECCI since mid June. I wont say much more, other than i hold over 100K shares, and know many others who hold 150K+ shares.
I also own WEGI and NLST.
ECCI is the best imo because of its percentage total gains compared to the other two.
Cat 1 Hurricane and you will see .2 on ECCI Trop Storm .16 Cat 3 - with momo could get it to .3
Good luck to all, if you got money buy and hold and you will be rewarded imo.

As a Gulf Coast-er, I am looking at this thing to come in my backyard. It is supposed to be a Cat. 1 by in the morning (nothing more than a good rainshower, but it sounds big)....BUT this one has TONS of development time, and no weather patterns to keep it weak. It is following a very similar path to Katrina and some of the other biggies we have had in this area. I would wager hard that it is a solid 3 at landfall, if not bigger.
FWIW, I just pulled $$ out of savings with the specific intent of playing the hurricane stocks...might at least cover my deductible :-(

Most of these picks are heavily in debt with the exception of WEGI. Their numbers are pretty good. If you don't look at any other numbers, at least look at their balance sheet people. Specifically their debt to asset ratio. If they don't post it I don't give it they're hiding something and I move on. If an outfit has a lot more debt than assets FORGET 'EM! It's a rule of thumb that any earnings go to pay off debt (i.e.; creditors) BEFORE they go to the shareholders. Anything else is just hype and hope. And that'll lose you money more often than not.

Oh man Beechwood unfortunately none of what you just said matters unless someone idiotically decides to marry this stock and become a bagholder longterm. These stocks are seasonal plays. They move on hurricanes that can potentially hit the US mainland nothing else. They all will have Momo with each storm of the season. Nothing to do with Hype, hope and numbers as you previously stated. You flip em when the big nasty storm hits.

These are seasonal plays and really have very little to do with fundamentals Etc Etc.
One point I would like to make is that BUGS is good play for reason not mentioned until now. BUGS goes up if a Hurricane hits Mexico. Their SUB SMMW is based in Mexico. So BUGS goes up even if it misses the US mainland.
Just something to think about. I own BUGS and will be looking looking for an entry on ECCI.

My apologies. I'm still green at trading. I took a few workshops as seen on TV. Some real week long cram courses. Learned a lot about fundementals and TA and I try to stick to them as a novice. Yes, I agree seasonal plays do factor in. Momentum, MM's, etc. I've learned that the market is just as much, if not more, controlled by mass psychology (herd mentality?)as it is by the TA, etc. Of all the hurricane plays mentioned on this thread which two or three do you think have the best potential to run?
