The Speech Enabled Auto Attendant (SEAA) integrates into numerous product lines by analog, digital, or TAPI WAV programming. The system facilitates easier communication for employees, customers, business partners and suppliers. It places people at ease by allowing callers to use their most natural form of communication -- their own voice -- to reach a specific person or department. By speaking a name, a caller can be promptly transferred to the appropriate number. Callers have the option of bypassing touch-tone menus and spell-by-name directories and instead, use their natural voice to reach their intended party.
"The combined technical expertise of SpeechSwitch and Cantata in speech recognition provides great benefit to the market. Cantata's TR1000 speech boards, combined with our acclaimed support services, will help SpeechSwitch elevate their customer satisfaction in deploying the SEAA for the small business marketplace they are targeting," said Scott Wieder, director of market development, Cantata Technology.
The Speech Enabled Auto Attendant is a complete cost-effective solution that works with existing phone systems and voice mail packages. Every department and employee is accessible from one local or long-distance phone number. The SEAA capabilities ensure that all calls reach their intended destinations at all times.
Ranging from 2 to 120 channels per board, Cantata's Brooktrout TR1000 features a single API that allows developers to scale their systems with no changes to their software applications. The Brooktrout TR1000 is ideal to support applications for speech, IVR, fax, messaging, and conferencing. Cantata Technology was established in 2006 through the combination of Brooktrout Technology and Excel Switching Corporation. For more information visit http://www.cantata.com

"One example of this was demonstrated when Cantata supplied us with a BRI card that enabled SpeechSwitch to deliver a potential solution geared toward one branch of the U.S. Military."
