BioTech Medics, Inc. Seeking Testing of Patented SHBAN Solution as Anti-Viral Disinfectant for Use Against Bird Flu Virus
May 12, 2006 9:00:00 AM DALLAS, May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- BioTech Medics, Inc., has contacted the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta to seek testing of SHBAN Solution as an anti-viral disinfectant in killing the Avian Influenza, Influenza A (HA & NA) Bird Flu viruses in topical and field use.
The SHBAN(TM) solution, in previous in vitro and in vivo testing has been evaluated for its antimicrobial properties against S. Aureus, S. Epidermidis, EC. Faecalis, E. Coli and Ps. Aeruginosa. Tests revealed that SHBAN was extremely effective against all species of bacteria that were tested. Bacterial counts of the test models were reduced to <100 bacteria per gram of tissue in the treated groups, while bacteria counts remained at 6 x 10/5 CFU/GM over 14 days in the untreated control groups.
"We are confident that the SHBAN solution has anti-viral properties that will kill the Avian Influenza virus upon contact without harming humans, animals and the environment," said Delton Carroll, President & CEO of FHJ Scientific and Advisor to BioTech Medics. "SHBAN has previously been tested by Baylor Medical Center in Houston, Louisiana State University, UT Houston, Allergan, Pathology Associates, MBA Labs and Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. When used in diluted dosages SHBAN has tested to be safe around humans and animals and very effective as a germicidal cleaning solution. Upon successful completion of testing, the SHBAN solution will be sold to sanitize infected areas which are currently contaminated with Avian Influenza, such as wildlife bird habitats, poultry farms, duck and geese nesting areas. Superman,, good find,,,don't worry about it, the low float made some nervous.. up 60% is great and much is due to timing with bird flu scare...should continue up from looking at the chart and low price and low float...IMO
