Since you mentioned higher priced stocks, I think you should take a look at JLG.

It had been doing really well all year and then since April has gone down 25%. It is at a pretty cheap price to get in right now and just in time for their third quarter earnings report which will be on May 24th after market close.

What does it have to do with hurricanes? JLG makes arial work platforms. Their main market is rental companies (such as NationsRent, etc) who rent them out to construction companies and contractors. They also have a new product that is a small boom-lift that is on a trailer that they are now putting in Home Depot stores for consumers to rent. Lots of these in use both before and after big storms. Before, to help people get to higher windows for boarding up. After, to help replace shingles, repair siding, replace windows, etc.

I wish I could get into this stock at these prices. Unfortunately, I rode it down from some all-time highs! But I have a lot of confidence that this is one that is going to go up after the third quarter earnings report.

I think we will still get a 8-10 bagger out of this stock. Much more people are buying as they know what it did last year. This is the best hurricane play out there, the float is so low it moves quick!

So you are confident this still has a ways to go?
I 'll keep an eye on it, but really can't afford to take a hit right now, lost 50% of wife's account in pennies already.
Do you plan to buy in dips sell in peaks days later, or ride some shares long?
When do you expect this hurricane stock to get a good run, start day of season? Or the approach of a hurricane?
Thanks
dust off that crystal ball...better get a new one
lol

I dont think I'm going to try and flip this, I tried it once and I had to chase it down at a higher price. This stock just keeps on going up, the float is low low low.... and the people that own this stock just hold it as they know it will see $3.00 in the next few months. With the market makers being low on shares they just keep upping hte price to entice sellers. This stock reminds me of TDCP. People are investing in this one. If you want to make that 50% back and then some, buy this and hold it... even if it does dip to the low 30's again just hold. You will make that 50% back and then some. This is my #1 play, I'm putting 80% of my funds into this one once NDOL pops next week.

EMLab's Honolulu MicroLab(TM) Receives A2LA Accreditation

SAN BRUNO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 03/06/06 -- Environmental Microbiology, Inc. (EMLab(TM)) is pleased to announce the accreditation of its Honolulu MicroLab(TM) (certificate number: 2360.01) by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) for spore trap and direct exam air analysis.

GRC- gorman rupp pumps.

MSA- oxygen and LEL type metering used in treatment plants and collection systems, also pump station monitoring.

CYT- Cytec, one of a few chemical houses used by water and wastewater treatment plants.

GWW- Grainger, parts supplier for treatment plants and pump stations.

NVIC- I have no idea, just stumbled onto it.

LPX - posted above, we have all seen the pictures of the plywood on the windows and rough framing before and after the canes. I think LPX supplies the home retailers.

You might want to look at WSTN. They took an old Nuclear fallout shelter and converted it to an underground data center outside houston. PPS and volume have been rising over the last couple of months. There were some PRs recently released on some of the business they're working on.
