What is the typical time it takes you to find a pick?
More detailed, but same question.
How long does it take from scanning stocks, reading charts, and researching a company, does it take for you? From scanning to deciding its a buy?
I prefer to hear from the day traders or people that hold stocks for 2-5 days. If you're going to invest any longer then that then I suggest researching for over a week.
I'm just wondering if I'm too quick or slow to judgement compared to others here.
So what is your time frame? 30 minutes of heavy research? hours? A day or two?
This question is pointless if you play the news runners intraday. I am asking strictly after-hours research.
If you could also give a quick summary of your trading style so I can make sure certain obviously different styles aren't compared as if trying to compare a Ferrari versus a Kia.

Every stock has different times that its going to be worthwhile to put money in, different times of the year affect different sectors, and even when you find your pick you may have your money in it for 3 months + unless you are only trading swing/short term etc
Too many variables, everyone is going to answer differently. One day you may find a "sure deal" pick within 30 minutes, you may watch another stock for 4 months before deciding its ready for your money. I like to know the stocks I put cash in, so there are far less of the 30 minutes or even single day picks for me, usually hype is what made you aware of their presence and that is risky.
I like to know them a little before I get into a relationship with them. Getting in bed with stranger stocks gave my account some bad STDs. I swing trade some stucks I know that ride that way, and I am holding one stock that is waiting for its day.
