I have been in and out of ITRO since 2000 and the one thing that seems constant is they can't seem to make a profit. Productivity, sales, new products & more O/S seem to always be on the rise, except profits. If they EVER get it together, they will ROCK. Maybe things will change?

AXcess News: Are Green Stocks Worth It? Friday June 23, 2:23 pm ET
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 23, 2006--Most investors look for a return when they invest, but you can also choose to invest responsibly and do something good for the planet by looking into Green Stocks, a group of companies that may not show immediate returns. ADVERTISEMENT
Earlier this week, a story in the San Antonio Business Journal covering greens mentioned General Electric under that category. Why not include British Petroleum -- after all, they're cramming TV commercials down our throats about how much they're looking into alternative fuels, and let's broaden that and include Ford Motor Co. and General Motors Co. because they're trying to make hybrid vehicles.
You can stretch your imagination and categorize a lot of stocks as "green," but let's face it, the category is fairly new and most pure greens are micro cap companies struggling to be heard, like Itronics Inc. (OTCBB: ITRO - News), which last week said it was named one of the world's first International Green Heroes by The Green Organization, an independent international environmental group, in a ceremony at Kensington Roof Gardens, London.
Reno-based Itronics recycles photochemicals, removing the heavy metals and manufacturing a 5-ounce silver bar from it with the bulk of the liquids being used to make environmentally beneficial liquid fertilizer products sold under the GOLD'n GRO brand. Now that's GREEN! Yet Itronics' growth is slow and has yet to turn a profit, but it is making progress and earlier this year brought in $3 million in financing to double the size of its plant in order to keep up with demand.
Solar companies and ethanol makers are also getting green investors' attention, spurred on by California's commitment to move to solar power and the high cost of fuels. Many of these micro to small cap companies are being eyed as greens worth exploring. In fact, even the big board is getting in on the green game.
Shares of VeraSun Energy Corp. surged on their NYSE debut last week following a successful initial public offering. The South Dakota-based maker of ethanol fuel opened for trade nearly 22 percent above the offering price.
SunTech Power, the Chinese maker of photovoltaic cells whose IPO debuted last year at $15, nearly tripled in its first month and is still trading at a 40%+ premium. SunTech Power may yet prove to be worth it at these levels and is right in there with VeraSun and Itronics when you put it in the Green group.
Greens mean patience when it comes to investing. These stocks are fairly new and that means it will take time to see which ones pan out. Some take advantage of economic trends, like soaring energy, while others deal more with more basic issues such as conservation and pollution. They run the gamut from big board backing to struggling micro caps and everything in between. There are green funds and indexes springing up, newsletters and even green investment clubs to choose from. But you still have to be careful when you invest in green stocks as there are a lot of shady shell deals springing up too.

In this particular case, you're right, doling, there wasn't any thread that survived for ITRO. However, there are many other stocks that do lose history due to a new thread being opened. It is BB common etiquette, and generally accepted practice to post on an existing thread. The practice of opening new threads became prevelaent here with a small group of pumpers that frontloaded, and then opened a pump thread. Most of them are gone now, but their bad habits remain here. I apologize, I over reacted to cougar's comments, and will never comment on the administration or conduct of this board again. I don't pump. I don't need to post anything to help my picks, they will run with or without a thread.

Not sure if it will go again. I had it as a watch, and saw it bounce up a bit and fall back to .0115, that would have been my buy price, but I passed. It might churn here for awhile yet, difficult to tell. Did go from .0117, to .017, (HOD), today a modest 45%. I elect to watch for now.

ok and fair enough will..I think keeping old threads alive is important generally, my comment was related to the fact (I think), that most of us at Allstocks truely enjoy the mutual respect we've become acustom to and I was shocked at what I saw, maybe especially from you, viewed as a bit of a board leader...let's all make some $.

The erection comment was in jest. I assigned it to no one in particular, i used the universal "y'all". your pal there, chose to take it personal and tell me how unecessary and disrespectful I was. I think folks get lazy and just start a new thread witout making an effort to search. I posted ITRO on 7/28/06 after close. ITRO opened at .0125 fell off to .0115, and saw a HOD of .017. Now, those are the facts. An alert that yielded a potential 47%+ gain was lost to a knew thread. I don't really care, I didn't play it, I threw it out there for consideration. I just don't think it is very respectful of someone with 41 post to tell me my comments are unecessary and disrespectful when it was him who took it personal and him that elected to post a private message on the thread, and him that violated common BB etiquette. I've been around here awhile, and stand on my record. I think these new folks should either get a sense of humor or know who they're talking to, and learn some BB etiquette.
Now, that is my very last word on this bullsh!t.
