Homeland Security Group International Ballistics Division Addresses Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Countermeasures By Market Wire Last Update: 5/4/2006 6:00:04 AM Data provided by DEL MAR, CA, May 04, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Colonel Jeffrey A. Powers, CEO of Homeland Security Group International, Inc. (HMSG), announced today that HMSG has signed a partnership agreement with FED-COMM USA, Inc. of Escondido, California, to introduce technology designed to defeat triggering devices found in most improvised explosive devices.
Roadside bombs or IEDs have been responsible for the deaths of 781 US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. News agencies are reporting that 40 of the 67 US troops killed in action in April 2006 died from roadside bombings. The President has directed the Pentagon to allocate $3.3 billion this year to research technologies aimed at defeating this threat. As reported in the San Diego County-based newspaper the North County Times, the number of attacks has escalated from 5,600 in 2004 to almost 11,000 in 2005. The North County Times reported that U.S. Representative Duncan Hunter (R) of El Cajon, California, and Chairman of the House Armed Service Committee has called for a "campaign to take back the roads."
Defense industry representatives gathered last week at 29 Palms Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in California's Mojave Desert to receive briefings and demonstrations on the threats facing our troops in combat. During the "IED Demonstration Day," Brigadier General Douglas Stone, Commanding General of the Marine Base, told the defense industry representatives that he needed good ideas to defeat these threats. "I am going to fast-track any good ideas you send me and get you the funding. This is a forced march at Mach 1 to try and save lives."
Stemming from recent meetings in Washington, D.C. between Homeland Security Group International and FED-COMM USA, Inc., the two companies have agreed to partner in introducing the ARNISI ECM-1 anti-IED system that utilizes a new/unique approach to "spoofing" the receiver/detonator (Cell Phone/Blackberry) vs. attempting to jam the device or cell site.
"There is nothing out there in the area of IED defeating technology that even comes close to this device," commented Colonel A. Jeffrey Powers USMC (Ret), CEO, Homeland Security Group International. "The ARNISI has been tested at Yuma Proving Grounds with not one failure. We have personal devices as well as mobile devices that can be mounted on vehicles for convoy use. Partnering with FED-COMM USA, Inc. is definitely a no-brainer to defeat this extremely lethal threat."
John F. Morrison, CEO of FED-COMM USA, Inc., commented, "We are very pleased that FED-COMM USA will be partnering with Homeland Security International. We want to put our technology into the hands of our soldiers as soon as possible. There is no doubt that lives will be saved, and that's what is important to us all."
HMSG will be releasing more information on the details of the partnership and this new product in the coming weeks and will be demonstrating the effectiveness of this technology on live television in June.

Keep your eyes on this one! They have been making a name for themselves and the doors are open to the U.S.Army as well. IMO it is a good time to buy before the .01 level again! Do some DD on this company, they have products that our troops are using now. GLTYA!

That is true penny, They sell combat bags to the military, they have a security force that have worked some high profile events in the LA area, they are working on a ballistics vest for the military and since the ceo is an ex marine col. he has the common sense approach to providing products that are beneficial to our troops. If this IED deterent is picked up by the military this company will be in good shape. TMAN...

Group play? No, unless supporting our troops and Homeland Security can be considered a group play. The new Anti-IED product is going to be demonstarted on Live Television in June, that should open some more eyes. GLTYA!

This is a good buy and hold. With Bush chomping at the bit to get us into a war with Iran, the need for HMSG products and services will only increase.
