As we all know, the oil sector has been exploding as of late. Oil is reaching upwards of $75 dollars a barrel and gas prices around the country are sky rocketing. Most oil plays have multibagged over five fold in the last week or two, so continued appreciation is harder to come by. TNOG has come to my attention because it is an oil play that has not run yet. It is currently at .0056 and has gone as high as .05 within the last year. The chart looks fanatastic and I will not speculate ont he rumors that have been flying around. TNOG has started showing some life in the past fiew days and it looks like we might be ready for a megga breakout.

website: www.titanoilandgas.com

Website has pics of current drilling site.

Titan Oil and Gas currently has plans for 20+ wells to be pumping oil. They currently have well "Stanley #1" already showing great signs of pressure and having produced around 1000 barrels of oil during January 2005. Updates are expected on wells Stanley #1B as well as another soon.

In the Wilson County Project there are 20 existing abandoned vertical well bores that can be used to launch new horizontal laterals. Although it is difficult to determine exact reserves in the Wilson County field as a whole, an estimate can be made based on its size – approximately three miles long and ¾ miles wide. As such, a minimum of two million barrels of recoverable oil can be assumed, as well as appx. four million mcf (thousand cubic feet) of natural gas.

The 3 stocks that I am most interested in next week are:

AMEP, OMOG, and TNOG

in that order. I would not be suprised to see all 3 of these stocks double. In fact all 3 have short term daily charts that are failr similar. An initial large spick followed buy a significant amount of consoldiation.

AMEP annouced awsome financials: Check the AMEP thread.

OMOG is expected to finalize the results of a pending lawsuit I believe.

and TNOG looks awsome (I have done no DD as of yet)

I hold all of these though I have taken profits on AMEP and OMOG since they have had some nice appreciation. Imo, TNOG is the next oil multibagger.

Looking at a 3 year chart I see that TNOG makes a huge breakout this time of the year just about every year? Can we say diamond in the rough anyone?

May have to hold this one for awhile...but then I am not really good at holding penny stocks!! lol

I would probably make a lot more money if I did hold them longer.

Good Luck everyone.

I can't comment on the pivot point. However The current formation on the one day chart is what I look for in every penny stock. I alway's try to view the companies from a value side while looking at the chart from a psychological perspective.

What I see on the daily chart for TNOG is a HUGE interest in TNOG 2 days ago. Massive gains with smart profit taking. The stock pulled back over 50% of it's thurday peak. Today people are seeing the potential and driving the price back up.

Man if history is anything then this stock should show a huge gain fairly soon....of course stocks and history make for a bad mix!

Cheers.

I look at pivot point because until it crosses that and stays there for a couple of days, you won't have your run. It can blow right past resistance in a single day and then drop right back down. If you can get a consistent close above the pivot point, that's when I pay close attention.... We all have our own system. I just know this one always runs on no news at all leaving everyone bewildered and then you find out later why it ran. You have to jump on this one as it passes by or it will leave you standing there.

not a bad day today. This stock easily gets walked down by mm's on low volume. Congrats to those of you who were able to take advantage of some nice entries below .006. Just wait till the chatter and interest starts picking up and this stock starts getting pumped across all the boards. Best to quietly accumulate and let others chase.

HAH.

I've been holding this one since their last well came up dry and kicked my A$$.

There has been some little runs lately but I'm holding until it gets near where I was before the drop.

I hope you are right about next week. I could use the money for other things. Market does seem to like the new plan of action the company put forth. We shall see.

Smoke just about all penny stocks are Pump and Dump stocks. You should look at that as an opportunity. Buy in low...wait for said company to pump...then dump. Ala money in the bank. If you are investing in penny stocks waiting for the next $10.00 company to emerge you are kidding yourself. Those companies started out trading at that level.

Now assuming TNOG is a pump and dump company then it appears to follow a pretty normal yearly schedule...which means the big pump otta be coming around pretty soon.

Cheers.

MsKay I was invested in NFI earlier this year. Awesome dividend with that company but they are going through some crazy naked short selling. A patient person could probably have a nice retirement buying and holding NFI.

Just remember, the people who are bashing a stock (or pumping either) are people who short these stocks. They pump it so that they can sell "borrowed" shares at a higher price. Then once the run has completed, they bash it and create doubt so that they can cover their "borrowed" or short shares by purchasing them at a lower price. So if they sell 1000 shares of XYZ at .015 today, supposedly within three days they must purchase the same shares to cover that sale. Of course they want to sell high and buy low so as soon as the run is topping out, they come out in droves and start driving the price down.

I'll probably get negative stars from them for this post! LOL!

How easy is it to short sell a penny stock? I certinaly have gone short on companies before, but I have never tried on a penny stock. Are there others here that have managed to pull this off?

I guess with the huge floats these companies have it shouldn't really be to hard for brokers to have shares to loan you.

I don't know, I've never tried it but I've read lots and lots about it. I think only a broker can do it but I'm not completely sure. The brokers and MMs pay people to pump and bash the stock. Dateline did a piece on it and called it the scandal of the century. Once you've been here a while, you can clearly see it. Basically shorting is selling counterfeit shares.

"Basically shorting is selling counterfeit shares."

That would be naked shart selling. Short selling is borrowing shares with an agreement to buy them back at a later time...hopefully when the price is lower.

That catch is you have to borrow them from your broker....which is why I suspect it is quite hard for us common folk to go short on penny stocks. It would make for a very interesting strategy tho.

Oh correct of course. The point is that it is very lucrative to bash a stock and drive the price down so that shorts can cover their sales. You notice that they are very quiet when actual news may come out that would drive the stock up regardless of their bashing. They sell during the drive up on news and even pay "pumpers" to do it. Then, once the stock has run up and there is no news for a period of time, the bashers come out to drive it back down so that they can cover their short positions. The problem is that there is not really a "short" police who can force them to buy the shares within three days, thus naked shorting.

Really the only way to combat it is to be aware of it, trade very carefully in stocks that are already on the SHO list and don't be frightened into selling your shares at a loss. Just hold and do your own DD and make your own choices. If investors wouldn't sell at a loss so easily, it would make it more difficult on the shorters.

I've been playing this since May of 2005 and watching before that. It has done that every time.

I just received the Novak newsletter with this news in my email box. It is still not 100% out yet. I hope it goes on up. I'm still in the red from getting hung out to dry last time.
