Med Gen to Air Snorenz and Good Nights Sleep Infomercials 4/18/2006
BOCA RATON, Fla., Apr 18, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Med Gen Inc. (OTCBB:MGEN), manufacturers of the national brands Snorenz(R), snore relief throat spray, Painenz(R), roll on pain relief formula, Good Nights Sleep(R), sleep aid throat spray and UNDIET(TM), STW weight loss system, announced today that it has booked 168 TV spots on Time Warner Cable to test-air its new DTC infomercial program. The commercials tell the story of Med Gen's brands Snorenz(R) and Good Nights Sleep(R) and feature director-producer Don Abbott. They will run in selected cities from May 8 - May 28, 2006.

This is a good find. This looks promising to me. Based on their PR, I get a feel that this stock should give me some profit. I being new to this stock market, my assumptions may be wrong but Letter from Chairman gives a good feel

Dear Shareholder,
Some straight talk. I share with you the frustrations of the many events that have transpired in the past many months. I wish I could describe the bag full of instructions, do’s and don’ts, which our army of lawyers laid at my desk. As an example, an almost complete blackout of events to the press. Basically, all the information about the company had to be culled from the K’s and Q’s…. definitely the sign of a company in trouble. Yet, as everyone knew, had we not settled the judgment, you and I would have lost everything. The reasonable settlement of this case has preserved a very fine company with great products and a strong upside. Those of you who have not, should try anyone of our products…. They deal with the world’s aches, pains and noises (Painenz®, Snorenz® and Good Nights Sleep®). There is not one of you that would not be better off after use. We have worked hard to preserve what we are most proud of … our products..
My desire to succeed defines every working day. This is also true of our management. Reading through our public documents tells this story over and over again. Our salaries are in the lowest third for all public companies, ordinary perks are non-existent. To borrow money we have pledged personally and our stock is "locked-up" by our lenders. So why are we still around after 10 years.
We have an exciting array of Brands in the high profile markets. Superior to most, if not all OTC Bio-Tech company’s.. Our products are unique [one of a kind], tested and proven winners by our customers and their testimonials. The problem has always been the cost of getting the word out. We have spent thousands raising millions…… and, we have spent those millions just staying on the shelves at Wal-Mart, CVS, Walgreen, Eckerd and Brooks. The costs involved in maintaining this sort of distribution have sucked the wind right out of us. The decision to go direct to our customers in our DTC programs will pay off…. It must! And, we are now investing heavily to make sure this works.
We have just completed two TV infomercials featuring Snorenz® and Good Nights Sleep®. These will air first in test markets in the mid-west in May and then nationally. We will start shooting the UNDIET® commercials this month for test airing in June and July. By September and October all commercials will be airing nationally. Dramatic increases in revenue will allow us to further re-invest in more commercials. Reported gross sales of our combined markets exceed $80 billion providing Med Gen with enormous potential. The success that I talked about earlier is certainly within our reach…. Our investors think so and so do I. Do you?
