Advanced Communications Subsidiary Cyber-Test Awarded Exclusive National Reverse Logistics Contract With Sling Media, Inc. 2/13/2006
NEW YORK, Feb 13, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Advanced Communications Technologies, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ADVC), a New York-based holding company that specializes in the technology aftermarket service and supply chain known as reverse logistics, today announced that its electronic equipment repair subsidiary, Cyber-Test, Inc. was chosen as Sling Media, Inc.'s exclusive national reverse logistics service partner.
Cyber-Test will manage the reverse logistics program for Sling Media, a digital lifestyle products company, throughout the United States and Canada. Cyber-Test will receive all retail returns on behalf of Sling Media and serve as a distribution channel for manufacturer returns and advanced exchange units to the customer.
Sling Media's first product, the Slingbox(TM), is a breakthrough consumer electronics device that enables consumers to watch their living room TV programming from wherever they are by turning virtually any Internet-connected Windows-based laptop or desktop and any Windows Mobile-based PDA or smartphone into a personal TV. The Slingbox(TM) redirects, or "placeshifts," a single live TV stream from a basic cable connection, cable box, satellite receiver or digital video recorder (DVR) to the viewer's PC - located anywhere in the home or anywhere in the world, via the Internet.
