I was wondering in anyone had any thoughts on PMED (0000916444 PARADIGM MEDICAL INDUSTRIES INC). The company www.paradigm-medical.com develops and markets diagnostic equipment for the ophthalmic market. These include: topographers, autoperimeters and ultrasonic biomicroscopes that serve to diagnose and treat disorders of they eye such as glaucoma, cataracts and age-related macular degeneration.

They recently released their financials and opened focus onto the European market. Most importantly the long dark cloud of a law suit was resolved 9-29-05. When this suit was announced around June time frame the stock was at .10 and quickly plummited to its current price of .01. After the announcement on 9-29-05 it was up 52% then 22% the next day. Taday there was considerable profit taking and it fell 28%.

I'm thinking about jumping in and was wandering if anyone might have some additional knowledge on PMED.

Thanks in advance

This one is in the green today. I like this one and think we will be looking at a steady climb near where it was prior to the legal problems.

I have researched this company for a couple of days now and the more I dig the better I like it. For example, the CEO has impressive credentials - see below:

John Yoon, Chief Executive Officer and President
With more than 20 years experience in the technology industry, Mr. Yoon has acted in various management and leadership roles at leading worldwide companies from research and marketing manager to director of global marketing and product management.

As a leader on 3Com management team, Mr. Yoon oversaw marketing for 3Com’s emerging Voice Over IP division creating product plans and go-to-market strategy involving product development, sales and distribution and industry and financial analysts. Prior to his current position, Mr. Yoon held several other managerial positions within 3Com and U.S. Robotics for its wireless and remote access product families including director of wide area networking product development, director of mobile networking product development, and director of strategic planning.

Before joining U.S. Robotics/3Com, Mr. Yoon held several managerial and marketing positions at Ericsson, Inc. Prior to that, he worked for General Electric in the mobile communications division in market research, planning and product management.

Mr. Yoon holds a MBA degree from Duke University with a special concentration in marketing and international business. He earned his Bachelors degree in Economics from Harvard College.

This is his Bio from 3Com

3Com Corporation, Santa Clara, Calif. (Nasdaq: COMS)
With more than 15 years experience in the mobile communications industry, Mr. John
Yoon has acted in various management and leadership roles at leading companies from a

Cards and directed the planning process for new products and technologies such as
ISDN, ADSL, cellular and GSM.
Prior to joining U.S. Robotics, Mr. Yoon held several managerial and marketing

____________________________________________

He seems to have both the technical foundation and the business leadership. The MBA from Duke is impressive.

I like the new marketing efforts in Europe.

Apparenty when Mr. Yoon left 3Com he took his chief engineer with him. Below is his bio from the company's website.

Fred Geiger, Vice President of Engineering
Fred Geiger brings to Paradigm 9 years of experience in product development. In his former role as a member of Starbridge Systems Executive Council, Mr. Geiger was responsible for product management, production and information technology activities. His efforts helped position the company for growth by helping refine the company’s strategic direction, upgrading and adding critical network infrastructure and developing a product management process track development efforts.

He was also critical to investigating additional manufactures and bringing in outside hardware consultants in an effort to increase the manufacturing process’s reliability. He managed several development projects to improve Starbridge’s cutting edge hardware and software as well as productization efforts such as software licensing and improved documentation.

Prior to Starbridge Systems Mr. Geiger spent 8 years at 3Com and U. S. Robotics where he performed various managerial and product development roles for their mobile connectivity products. He managed and developed the strategic direction for computing and communications products ranging from connectivity software to wired and wireless networking hardware, Bluetooth wireless devices and mobile modems.

Before 3Com, Mr. Geiger was a member of the exclusive Technical Development Leadership Program at Ericsson/GE’s Land Mobile Radio division, where he held technical sales and product management positions.

He has also held positions as Marketing chair, Technical Marketing chair and Board Member for the Personal Computer Memory Card International Association (PCMCIA) and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE).

Mr. Geiger holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University as well as a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign.

Lastly, They have a large product line that they have developed. These are the ones currently at market, again I emphasize not being developed but a real product.

LD400 A unique, voice-based, affordable, computer autoperimeter capable of threshold, fast threshold and suprathreshold testing

CT200E Computer-based corneal topographer with output for contact lens fitting and pre and post refractive surgical measurements.

Ocular Blood Flow Analyzer Tonometer designed to measure intraocular pressure and sensitive enough to detect pulsatile blood flow.

P37 A-B Scan Ultrasonic A and B Scan for biometry and imaging of the retina.

P40 Ultrasonic biomicroscope

P45 Ultrasonic biomicroscope with A and B Scan capabilities in addition to 35 MHz

P60 Fourth generation ultrasonic biomicroscope with sulcus–to-sulcus imaging and self-contained water path

They have also obtained the necessary credentials to distribute these products worldwide e.g.

1. ParadigmHealth has achieved certification from the Privacy Certification Program for Business Associates (PCBA) after a thorough on-site review found that the disease management company demonstrated compliance with national standards to safeguard personal health-related information.

2. Paradigm Medical Industries, Inc. (OTCBB: PMED.OB/PMEDW.OB) today announced it has been awarded the CE Mark for a new generation ultrasound biomicroscope (UBM). The CE Mark will enable the Company to market the device in 19 Western European countries and some parts of the Pacific Rim.

I'm going to look for a good entry point tomorrow. If anyone has any comments I would greatly appreciate your feedback.

Thanks
