well, then thats something ameritrade must have changed. My account is years old, and I was not doing anything with it for about 4 years until about 2 months ago.....

no thats not how it works. Gosh. 1:1 forward split means you get 1 share for ever share you own. So if you have 100 shares and you recieve 100 shares now you have 200 shares or a 100% increase.
if its a 2:1 f/s then for every 100 shares you recieve another 200 shares for 300 shares or 200%

Nope.. in a 2:1, you will have 200 shs, INSTEAD of 100shs for a 100% increase. In a 3 for 1 then you will have 300 shs INSTEAD of 100. There is NO such thing as a 1 for 1 split.

Ric, You are WAY off here. THINK ABOUT IT. How can you have a 1 for 1 split? LOL.. you have 1 sh. They take it and give you 1 sh?? Does that make any sense?? NO.. a 2:1 goes like this. You have 1 sh of X at 50.00, they TAKE that one share AWAY, and give you TWO shs at 25.00. THAT is a 2:1 split. Trust me 'THIS PERSON' knows what she's talking about. I didn't get my series 7 license for being stupid. And there is NO such thing as a 50:100 f/s. That's a reverse split. You have 100 shs of Z.. they TAKE your 100 shs away and give you 50 shs. And my age? why? How is that important? Put it this way, I started working for the stock market in 1980.. were you born yet?

No Big Red don't say what lies ahead. GO CWFG - that is a good thread because then it does not sound like something is up with the stock or just CWFG. I would prefer anyway.

Yes your right I was thinking of a r/s there but a 3:2 is still a 50% increase. Because 50% increase in 2 shares gives you 3 shares. So both of us miss a technicality.
