(GMTH: OTCBB) Global Matrechs Inc., a company specializing in next-generation technologies for the nuclear, environmental and chemical industries, announced that it received a pilot order for two binder derivatives of HNIPU from a major corporation headquartered in Europe. HNIPU is a modified polyurethane with lower permeability, increased chemical resistance properties and material synthesis that has superior environmental characteristics to conventional polyurethanes.
The pilot order comes after eight months of collaboration between the Company and its Germany-based manufacturing/marketing partner, Environmental Friendly Material, GmbH (EFM), as well as through the evaluation of smaller samples of the products. The Germany-based partner, EFM, has been marketing HNIPU for fifteen months throughout the European community. Global Matrechs believes that the product's environmental properties and technical attributes, in particular the absence of toxic isocyanates, make it suitable for a variety of industrial applications.
The samples for the pilot order are being produced at the Polymate facilities in Israel. If one or more commercial-scale orders are placed, Global Matrechs currently expects that production will take place in Europe at production facilities established to address any such orders.
In addition, Global Matrechs has requested that EFM arrange for the production and delivery of three pilot-size sample orders for use in marketing activities in the U.S. coating industry. Global Matrechs, Inc. (OTCBB: GMTH) today announced that its licensed technologies division, with the assistance of its manufacturing partner, has completed on schedule the first full commercial-scale production batch of NuCap(TM) paste for non-slump applications and has completed arrangements to ship it to the Hanford Nuclear Waste Facility in Richland, Washington.
Last April, in a marketing visit to Hanford, representatives from Global Matrechs presented NuCap(TM) and performed a physical demonstration of the material for the local contractors responsible for maintaining the facility. At that time, a number of potential applications at the site were identified, and subsequently, arrangements were made for these local contractors to have the NuCap(TM) material on-site to support the ongoing marketing and to assure the fast response for the site needs.
In addition, Global Matrechs, Inc. has informally arranged with its manufacturing partner to support and manufacture the commercial-size batches of NuCap(TM) necessary for the fulfillment of future orders in the event commercial sales are made.
