Global Marine Ltd. Finds Lost Treasure; Contracted to Salvage 35 Tons of Sir Francis Drake's Silver and Gold
CHARLESTON, S.C., Aug 25, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Global Marine Ltd. (Pink Sheets: GLBM) announced today that the company has entered into a subcontractor's agreement to salvage the remaining 35 tons of Sir Francis Drake's silver treasure located offshore of Ecuador, using 21st century technology and the company's dive team of Ecuadorian and U.S. salvage professionals. The agreement requests that Global Marine act on behalf of the contractor, who has access to the offshore Ecuadorian salvage permits. GLBM will mobilize its divers and equipment to begin the salvage operations.
History of the Drake Silver
In order to lighten his ship's heavy cargo for the treacherous Pacific crossing, Drake and his men regretfully threw overboard in excess of 1,350,000 pesos of silver -- an estimated 45 tons. Silver coins, ingots and bars found at the site off the coast match the silver that Drake unloaded onto a sandy bottom some 50 feet deep. Numismatic professionals estimate that the value of this circa 1578 silver may be worth approximately $100 million if properly marketed. Archival documents also mention the unloading of gold coins and jewelry at the same location.
Documents from historic accounts, books and archives verify that in 1578 the Spanish and the English had been witness to the dumping of the Drake treasure.
Attempts in the past to locate and salvage the treasure have proved mostly unsuccessful; however, the pirate Bartholomew Sharp, who anchored over the right spot, used weighted tallow to fish up a few hundred pieces of eight.
Archival data also indicates that in 1930 a steam dredge sailed into the cove and within a week had dug up 10 tons of silver ingots using a steam shovel. It departed swiftly when the government requested them to leave the area. Subsequently, the Ecuadorian government imposed strict laws concerning salvage of treasures in their territorial waters. Since that partial recovery, the exact location of the treasure has been lost over time.
The Ecuadorian government patrols this permitted area and to GLBM's knowledge no other salvage has taken place. The area was permitted after Ecuador changed its salvage laws allowing foreign involvement.
Since the area is a treasure find and no wrecks are involved, there will be very little archaeological work performed. GLBM expects the project to take three to four weeks, after which the silver and coins will be sold through Global's network of historical, cultural and marine artifact dealers or added to the company's artifact assets.
In the Ecuadorian coastal region, Global Marine has identified an additional 22 shipwrecks, captains' logs, eyewitness accounts and manifests from archives in Seville, Spain. The shipwrecks of Ecuador have been evaluated by independent archaeologists to be worth an average of $220 million of treasure within each wreck site. GLBM will begin to survey a number of reefs and coves, which have been identified as potential targets on recent dives. The site evaluation dives have produced coins and other valuable artifacts, which lead the company to believe that further permits need to be requested.
Two Ecuadorian citizens have joined the company as country consultants to help develop the diving, search, permitting and recovery phase for each project.

SSTY.....don't rule out this one as of yet just because of the SEC and the run it already did; I was in on(.0016).....was still going up 4-5 days in a row (can't recall) with gap each day until the sec halted trading. If it was a pump & dump it would back to these levels by now.JMHO

If I have free funds, I would buy MMIC. Great company, good reporting, good business plan. I saw it go down to .007 earlier then bounced back to .009.
I am in IGTN hoping to make little money.

ICMH......contract news coming and two great chart opinions...

The MACD is flat and looking to stay flat one more day and then start diverging positive.
The slow stochs are bottomed and starting to come back up.
The Williams%R just crossed and came out of oversold today.
The Wilders DMI shows the green Line (Buyers) crossing above the red line (Sellers)
The CCI is diverging positive and crossed the -100 line today!
The Accum/Dist line is most decisively diverging positive.
The RSI is starting its divergence positive.
A nice white candle formed today and closed at HOD.
Amer Bulls will probably change their rating to a buy confirmed for tomorrow.
Bar chart is showing that the opinion rating is increasing:
Today: 0% Hold Yesterday: 16% Sell
So, all the indicators are pointing to this being the bottom and a new uptrend beginning! My confidence level has not changed one bit... I even bought more today!

We are now trading above the MA(200), MA(50), MA(32) and MA(5) and we should soon be trading above the MA(10). This is very good, as it indicates an uptrend.
RSI ended the day at 49.7 just below the centerline of 50. This could cross with very little buying pressure tomorrow and would be a very clear sign of an upward trend.
MACD negative convergence is starting to decrease. MACD is starting to flatten out, it will turn around into positive momentum if the trends continue.
STO is in positive convergence and if it crosses above 20 (and stays above 20) will trigger a buy signal.
CCI (which had been below -100 for longer than at any other time on the ICMH 3 month chart) rose above -100 signaling that we have moved out of a down trend.
Williams $R moved out of the over sold range above -80.
ADX still indicates we are trading sideways or are in a weak trend. BUT +DI came into positive convergence with -DI today. That is another very good indicator that things are turning postive.
Volume came back to the levels we were seeing prior to yesterday. The indicators will all turn around and make ICMH look like a very good buy if we can maintain just a little buying pressure. If we start to see a lot of selling taking place the indicators that are just starting to look positive will quickly turn negative again. The best case scenario (without a PR) would have all the indicators positive within a week.
As always, take it for what you think it's worth. That's what I see in the charts.

First, he said the delay for the PR again was not his fault.... he is getting really tired of sitting there and looking at it on his desk, and I could definitely hear the frustration in his voice. The PR was co written by himself and the other company, so the approval of the release is not in regard to content. Doug said that the release is delayed because the other company wants to co-release a PR of their own with additional details/programs that they are working on. Apparantly, those additional programs are not ready, so they are not ready to release their PR.... Doug then stated that he is tired of waiting on them and is going to release it anyway maybe tomorrow, but ABSOLUTELY no later than Monday.
Second, he said that he had NO doubt that they will be repurchasing their restricted share placement before the end of the year. For those that do not know, Doug placed restricted shares with an investment group. In the agreement, there was an clause that if Doug repurchased the stock before the end of the year (2005) that there is ZERO interest on the loan!
Third, he mentioned that after he was getting off the phone with me, he was going to contact the webmaster to review and go over the FINAL updates for the website.
I did not push him for any more information, but I thanked him for his time and I let him know that I was fully confident in what they are doing and he replied that "MANY good things are about to come"..
BTW, doug was VERY kind and respectful. The ALL CAPS words in teh replys are to indicate the emphasis that he placed on words in our converstaion. He also mentioned that he just got back from travel FWIW.

I'm currently only analyzing stocks cheaper than a penny. These were the ones I was able to single out from the "hot OTCBB penny stocks" list.
HCCF - could start looking good. I'm not prepared to recommend it yet. Put it on your radar. If it all falls into place tomorrow, I'll recommend it for Monday.
PHBT - The indicators look real nice on it. If this happens to take a dip to .0013 - .0014 I'd hop on it. The current trend is up.
CALI - Don't jump all over me for this one. The indicators started looking up on it today. I'm not guaranteeing anything, But the long term slide might have hit bottom at about .002
BLYM - I'm not recommending it (yet). Put it on your radar too. It looks like it may be ready for a rebound.
I'm still watching my picks from yesterday (AMEP & NCTI) the indicators turned down on them a little today but I still believe that they are going to make gains in the next few days. If they don't show gains from yesterday's closing price in 2 or 3 days, I'll let you all throw it in my face.

SMKT...save half for easy .1 cent swings and other half for long position on 10:1 reverse split. PPS just bounced off 20 day SMA with bullish hammer indicated yesterday. This will climb today.
BTW, either a Double combo from In-n-Out here in cali or a couple of Portillo's Italian beef sandwiches when I travel to chicago next weekend will be fine. I'm a cheap date.

ICMH is however a damn good play considering it just bounced off it's 50 day SMA. And if dougie boy does in fact release the PR by today, could definitely be a good day plus you've got Stashu counting sheep with ICMH notes in their mouthes...
