Figured its time to start a new thread on CNES. Not looking very good anymore, considering all the high hopes shareholders had for this one. However something strange happened today. In 11 minutes, after hour trades were 250 million. This thing rarely if ever trades after hours.

Not sure when the August MR came out but basically what I get from it is it will be at least the first of next year before they have a chance of landing contracts as they will be waiting for FCC approval of the base station and working on the completion of the network operations center. Hopefully more questions will be answered in the annual meeting later this week...

Anybody going to the stockholder meeting? Sounds rather simple, cut and dried, if you read VIII report. Mysterious group at CNES....sure don't pump their own stock!

Another day of late buying. Institurional buys? Is it? Could it be? The sign of times to come?
Maybe it was that letter I wrote to W. Buffet using one of Chopper's quotes (actually it was some good DD). True story.
Actually CNES is in no way a company that Berkshire would have any interest in (they acquire stable cash flow companies that are stable and well managed), but I can say with certainty that Warren has been exposed to AMR and CNES via a personal letter.
Mr. Buffet wrote back from my 1st letter with a short, quaint response stating that he was unaware of AMR - Automatic Meter Reading. I responded with a little information and a quote from one of Chopper's posts.

There's only so much area the sales team can cover. They aren't sending out blanket bids to companies, they are making appointments, flying to see their potential customers and making the bids based on the customers needs. That takes time. Only one contract is needed to get this company off the ground. It will propably be with one that is small to medium on the grid. Seems like there would be more than 10 locations to have active bids on. I read every week about some area adding AMR.

I don't see this posted anywhere, but sorry if it's a duplicate. ______ ConectiSys Announces Product Update & Remarks on Annual Shareholders Meeting Business Wire - August 17, 2005 08:00
VALENCIA, Calif., Aug 17, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- ConectiSys Corporation (OTCBB:CNES), a developer of automatic meter reading (AMR) technologies, announced today its submission, on Tuesday, July 19, 2005, of the new advanced 8-C H-NET(TM) BaseStation to the Federal Communications Commissions (FCC) Southern California-based laboratories for product compliance and certification.
The FCC laboratory has informed the company that due to the complexity of the design, the testing and approval process is anticipated to be approximately 90 to 120 days for published product certification.
The new BaseStation is anticipated to achieve our advertised goals for product cost efficiency: Our low-cost, wireless AMR solution is imbedded within an electric utility meter, for both residential and commercial utility markets. The H-NET(TM) networks have been designed exclusively for the Electric Utility Industry. The bi-directional private networks' core is a unique proprietary architecture that captures, archives, and disseminates data consumption records 4 times an hour, 24 hours a day at traditional meter reading costs.
Events - Robert Spigno, the Company's President and Chief Executive Officer, comments about last weeks Annual Shareholders Meeting: "It was my pleasure to have had this opportunity to speak with attending stockholders. I was impressed with the quality of questions on both product and equity. I was equally impressed in the way the meeting evolved from a simply Q&A format to a collaborative work group session. And finally, I would like to thank all of our stockholders for your vote of confidence in this small heavily tasked management team, your endorsement has solidified our efforts. It is my greatest desire to deliver our products and services to market and manage our collective positions to its potential."

Hey George, Regarding the Louisville Gas and Electric article, well I live here in Louisville (Metro Louisville now) and we probably won't be on any kind of automated system for a good while...obviously for two reasons, first, LG&E being owned by a very conservative foreign company and secondly, the obvious, cost per meter. But anyways my son lives in another county (rural area) where the local utility has recently been discussing converting to an automated system. So I think if CNES ever gets out of the gate and becomes competitive, it would be another decent longterm holding.
