"Block Trading Fees will be charged for each transaction executing 100,000 shares or more. This fee is charged at a rate of 1% of the principal dollar amount or $.0005 per share, whichever is less."

On their website. What type of account do you have there?

I'm looking for an alternative to Ameritrade, sometimes their site gets too slow to trade effectively, is Lowtrade good for speed?

I've used lowtrades for a little over a year now; no problems, courteous service when needed, and never charged the Block Trade Fee even though I was notified about it going into effect. No complaints except no pink sheet b/a prices.

...i was gonna look into it.. but they dont even offer phone support! its $6 / trade up to 100,000 if you got level 2. And after 100,000 u get charged "bulk trade fee" of 1% of principle or 0.0005/share ..

Choicetrade got much better deal.

after introducing this topic of free level2 ticker at Lowtrades, I need to make a
clarififcation. I am not fully convinced yet in terms of the accuracy of Lowtrades's level 2 ticker. I was following Hisc both on Scottrade and on Lowtrades (level2) ticker, and it seems that Scottrade's was in fact superior. Anyone else out there having the same experiences? ?

I don't have level II yet. But check your messages at lowtrades when you login. Yesterday I got a message from them that I should not rely on their quotes for stocks under $1. Also having login probs this am- but may just be due to traffic...

Oh- should've mentioned, above unrelaible quotes message was because of some temporary problem with their info provider...
